Britney Spears will soon walk down the aisle, and preparations for the big day have been in the works. However, in May 2022, the singer made a shocking revelation, leaving her fans heartbroken. Find out what it was.

For more than a decade, American Singer, Songwriter, and Dancer Britney Spears was under the conservatorship of her father, Jamie Spears.

The terms of the conservatorship went into place in 2008, giving Jamie all legal responsibilities over his daughter, including managing her financial affairs.

For years, Britney fought for her freedom, as the conservatorship had ruled over life and prevented her from making certain life decisions.

In November 2021, after 13 years of a complicated and highly talked-about battle, Los Angeles County Judge Brenda Penny finally granted Britney her freedom by approving the termination of the conservatorship.

Despite the public and family's concerns about Britney's ability to live normally, the singer was finally ready to start life afresh.

Impressively, things have been going smoothly for the music guru until recently, when she made a shocking revelation. Here are the details of the songwriter's personal life.

Since the conservatorship ended in 2021, Britney has kept her social media fans updated on the events in her life. On April 11, 2022, the "Baby One More Time" singer took to Instagram to announce that she was expecting a child with her fiance, Sam Asghari.

Regarding how she found out about the pregnancy, Britney explained that it happened after a vacation in Maui. According to the songstress, she noticed that she had gained weight and had a big stomach.

Then, her fiancé suggested it was due to too much food, but Britney still took a pregnancy test, and it was positive. The singer also mentioned that in her earlier pregnancies, she experienced perinatal depression, which Britney described as "absolutely horrible."

However, during her recent pregnancy, she was determined to stay happy and free of anxiety by taking appropriate measures, such as doing yoga every day.

Born in Tehran, Iran, Sam Asghari is a personal trainer. He is in charge of Asghari Fitness, a brand that gives members customized meal plans and personalized training programs.

The young man immigrated to the United States at 12 years old and started high school in Los Angeles. While in school, Asghari joined the football team, and later, he took part in a football program at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

At 21, he walked his first runway show in Palm Springs after his sister encouraged him to embrace modeling due to his masculine physique.

Eventually, he landed bigger deals, including a small part in Fifth Harmony's "Work From Home" music video and a Super Bowl advert for Toyota Prius.

Later in 2016, he landed a part in Britney's "Slumber Party" music video. This was when he met the songstress for the first time and recalled having butterflies. Since then, the pair have been together and do almost everything together.

Time and again, Asghari has been candid about his love for Britney and how he anticipates spending forever with her. In February 2021, he confirmed it in a statement when he made known that he was looking forward to a normal and fantastic future with the singer.

Seven months later, the fitness guru took to Instagram to announce his engagement to Britney. He posted a picture of him and the dancer locking lips, with the latter flaunting her gorgeous engagement ring.

Since the pair announced their engagement, fans have been counting down to the couple's big day. Meanwhile, Britney has been giving netizens a glimpse of what her wedding outfit will look like. In May 2022, the songwriter shared a photo of a cat sitting on her wedding veil. She added the caption:

"Introducing Wendy🐈!!! And yes, this is the veil to my wedding dress 👰 !!!"

Although the couple is yet to drop wedding photos, fans have speculated that Asghari and Britney have secretly tied the knot. However, whether or not the couple has walked down the aisle remains unconfirmed.

Still, one thing is sure — Asghari looks forward to spending forever with Britney and is even more excited about fatherhood. In April 2022, the personal trainer revealed via an Instagram post that fatherhood is the most important job he will ever do.

On May 14, 2022, Britney shocked the world when she revealed that she and Asghari had lost their miracle baby. In an Instagram post, the songstress explained that it was a devastating time for any parent.

Britney noted that they would have waited until later before announcing her pregnancy, but they were too excited to share the good news.

Nevertheless, the music star mentioned that she and her partner's love is their strength, and they will continue trying to expand their little family.

Not long after, Asghari took to the comments section to support his partner and offer encouraging words, noting that they would have a miracle soon.

The loss of her pregnancy would not be the first time Britney has lost the opportunity to be a mother. She previously lost custody of her two sons, Sean and Jayden, whom she shares with her ex-husband, Kevin Federline.

The singer and Federline first met in 2004 and dated for only three months before announcing their engagement in July. In September 2004, the former lovebirds exchanged wedding vows in Studio City, California.

One year later, the ex-couple welcomed their first child, Sean. Then, in September 2006, they celebrated the arrival of their second son Jayden. Sadly, two months later, Britney filed for divorce from Federline, which was settled in March 2007.

Following Britney and her ex-husband's split, the pair began a custody battle for their children. Unfortunately, the singer lost custody of her boys in 2007 after a shocking occurrence, where she shaved her head before attacking a photographer's car with an umbrella.

The judge granted Federline full custody of the kids, but later on, he and Britney would agree on a shared 50-50 custody. However, after an altercation between Sean and Britney's father, the singer would lose more visitation rights.

Currently, reports have it that Federline has 70 percent custody of Sean and Jayden, while Britney has only 30 percent of custodial rights. The songwriter still pays her ex-husband $20,000 monthly in child support, alongside her children's school costs and tuition.
