Fans waited in anticipation for the new season of "RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars" to come out, with all the glitz, star quality, and glamour it's famous for. But what are viewers in for this time?

The new season of ​​"RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars" premiered this month, where eight winners from previous seasons will go head-to-head.

Since it began, the franchise has exploded, reaching millions of viewers globally and continuing to gain momentum. But what is it that keeps people glued to the screen?

As Jesse Chaffey from Screen Rant hypothesized, one major reason for viewers' loyalty is that it showcases genuine and unapologetic stories from the queer community.

There has also been talk of a twist.

She shared that the show essentially draws viewers in with its authenticity and brave vulnerability. Although it's not always perfect, the show's inclusivity policy is also an endearing factor for audiences.

This "Queen of All Queens" will see queens go head to head with the opportunity to take home a whopping cash prize of $200,000.

This is the first all-winners season of the show, and it will feature famous guest judges like Cameron Diaz and Naomi Campbell.

There has also been talk of a twist but no mention of what it might be. One of the contestants, Monét X Change, said:

"I hated it. I wanted it to not be how it was — at the beginning. Then we got into the game, and I was like, 'Oh, I do like it.' She's hot and she's cold."

Jaida Essence Hall, another competitor, stated that she loved the twist, while season 5 winner Jinkx Monsoon said it was why she returned for this season.

WHO IS COMPETING IN "RUPAUL'S DRAG RACE: ALL STARS 7"?

Speaking of competitors, the show includes Raja from season 3, Shea Couleé from season 5, and Trinity the Tuck. Trinity is from season 9 of "RuPaul's Drag Race" and season 4 of "RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars."

A fan favorite, Trinity has over 1 million followers on Instagram, along with Shea Couleé. Raja won season 3.

The Vivienne, season 1 winner of the UK version of the show, and Yvie Oddly, season 11 champion, are also taking part in the current All Stars season.

This new and exciting season premiered on May 20, 2022, on Paramount + with two episodes and airs one episode weekly.
