Parent Hears a Creepy Noise in His Attic, Sets up a Hidden Camera to Find Out Who Is There
After noticing unusual things happening in the house, a Pittsburgh man decided to set up a hidden camera in his attic. Little did he know how the camera footage would soon surprise him.
Strange things happen to people all the time, but they forget most of those incidents unless they experience something extraordinary that leaves them speechless.
Today's story revolves around a similar strange incident that shocked a couple. Never in a million years had they imagined something like that happening to them.

A HAPPY FAMILY
Back in 2017, a strange incident occurred with Jerome Kennedy, who lived with his wife, Ashley, and their 10-month-old daughter, Reagan, in their Pittsburgh home.
The family lived in their little house happily until they heard strange sounds above their bedroom. They couldn't think of a logical explanation behind those noises. Ashley said:
"For all these years, we have no idea what's been going on inside our own home."

NOISES AND LIGHTS
One day in July 2017, Jerome was relaxing in his bed when he heard loud noises coming from the attic. He stayed in bed until he noticed light emerging from the pipe in his room that led to the attic.
He bounced out of his bed and inspected the pipe. He reported seeing the light move, making it look like someone was searching for "a place to look through."
Jerome decided to buy a surveillance camera to see what was happening in the attic. He purchased the camera and drilled a hole through the wall that was big enough for the camera to pass through.

A CLUE IN THE DARK
The thought of someone peeking into their room through the attic gave them chills. Jerome and Ashley were curious to find out the reason behind the strange noises coming from the attic.
They only had to wait for a day to know who had crawled into their attic. To their surprise, the surveillance camera footage revealed a familiar face — their neighbor, Robert Havrilla. Jerome said:
"I think that he was looking into the bedroom."

FURTHER INVESTIGATION
Jerome and Ashley were shocked to know that Robert had crawled into the attic. They always thought he minded his own business and described him as "very reclusive."
It was hard to believe for the couple that their elderly neighbor was spying on them. They couldn't understand why he would do something like that.
To find out more about how he got into their attic, Jerome visited the place where the camera caught Robert. He discovered that he had installed a removable wall to enter their attic.

NEVER-ENDING EVIDENCE
The couple suspected that their next-door neighbor used to peek into their bedroom by crawling into the attic. They felt weird knowing he could see their bed and their daughter's crib situated beside it.
Besides the removable wall in the attic, Jerome found more evidence against Robert. He noticed holes in a common wall between his and Robert's house and immediately stuffed them with tissue paper. Jerome showed the holes while giving an interview to Inside Edition:
"You can see those holes. They look perfectly round."

FILING A COMPLAINT
After gathering enough evidence against Robert, Jerome called the cops and filed a complaint. They charged him with stalking and trespassing.
Meanwhile, the couple's attorney, Jack Goodrich, predicted that the man might have caused trouble if Jerome didn't call the police on time. He said:
“It's that scary to think somebody can be that intrusive in somebody's home."

HE DENIED DOING IT
After the police interrogated Robert, he denied climbing into the couple's attic, saying he didn't have a ladder in his house to help him climb up there. Meanwhile, his attorney, Anthony Jackson, said:
"I think it will come out soon that he did not have a malicious intent at all. I think it was an innocent situation that is getting drug out a little further than it should, but that will come out soon."
Kennedy felt terrible knowing that Robert would probably get away with what he had done. He said he "felt violated" after Robert entered his attic.
What would you do if you were in Jerome's place? He reportedly tried to collect evidence against his neighbor with limited resources, but it didn't work. Do you think he could have done something else to catch Robert red-handed?
