May 18 may have been a typical day for many other people, but for Sylvester Stallone and his wife, Jennifer Flavin Stallone, it is a reminder of the day they exchanged vows.

The couple celebrated their 25th anniversary. To mark the occasion, Jennifer took to her Instagram page to share a montage of pictures that capture them at different times in their lives.

The pictures melted a lot of hearts but not as much as the words that followed from Jennifer. The gorgeous lady wrote a simple caption that saw her praising Stallone for many things.

She said that even though they've been married for over two decades, the marriage just keeps getting better and that she can't wait to spend eternity with him.

IT TOOK HIM TWO TRIES BEFORE HE FINALLY FOUND HAPPINESS

Sylvester Stallone first found love with a woman named Sasha Czack, and when he was 28, on December 28, 1974, he married her.

The pair went on to have two kids, Sage Moonblood and Seargoeh, but the actor's love for partying plagued their marriage. That was what led to him cheating on Czack with another woman named Susan Anton.

It dealt a massive blow to their marriage, but they kept struggling to raise their Autistic son. As time passed, Stallone became utterly focused on his success and what it meant for him, so he traveled all over the world trying to find an answer until he started missing his family again.

Eventually, he returned home and was able to talk Czack into giving him another chance; however, the reunion did not last very long. Czack already had a foot in the show business industry before her marriage to Stallone.

Their wedding day was attended by many people, including several A–list celebrities, and it happened at the height of the actor's popularity with "Rocky." They had their first son two years after their marriage, and the second one arrived in 1979, but he was diagnosed with Autism.

They both decided to contribute towards caring for him, but because of Stallone's work, he couldn't be there as much as his wife could, so they both agreed he would keep the money flowing while she took care of everything else. It was a brilliant plan, and it eventually led to the creation of a foundation dedicated to finding a cure for Autism.

Czack was very interested in keeping that research going and taking care of their child, while Stallone focused on making movies. It essentially put them in different worlds, and eventually, their on-again, off-again marriage came to an end.

As their relationship headed toward a ruin, Stallone started seeing Brigitte Nielson, a model who initiated contact between them by sending him an envelope with a provocative picture enclosed within.

She asked to meet him, and when they did, he found out she was a married woman who seemed to have lost interest in her marriage.

Stallone married her immediately; they were both free of their respective partners, but two years later, the actor filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences.

There were rumors Nielson cheated on him, and a friend of Stallone once called her a schemer who used him to get a leg up in her career. Later on, Nielson revealed in an interview that Stallone had been the one pushing for marriage even though she had believed it was too soon.

There was also pressure from the public, who were wondering why anyone would refuse to have a wedding with Rocky. They got married, but when things went sideways, and Stallone divorced her, she was "blacklisted."

According to her, nobody would touch her, and all doors that opened before closed to her, which forced her to return to Europe, where she scratched out a living thanks to her knowledge of four different languages.

Perhaps it is why she later stated that if she could change anything, she would undo the marriage.

HIS COMPLICATED RELATIONSHIP WITH HIS KIDS

Stallone enjoyed a lot of fame in his days as Rocky Balboa; however, while the public adored the character, the actor's first son, Sage, did not.

Friends who were close to him say that even though Sage had been grateful that his father's job could afford him a good house and more money than he knew what to do with, he had not liked the characters his dad played.

Friends also say that Stallone fuelled those negative feelings by openly disapproving of his son's less than average looks. It created a rift, but after "Rocky V," all that changed.

The father and son got closer, but unfortunately, Sage had developed an addiction to prescription pills which he used to deal with his anxiety.

Some believe that the drugs may have been what eventually led to Sage's death later on, and authorities have confirmed that there were large bottles of prescription pills where the boy was found. Stallone's second child was diagnosed with Autism after they realized that he had trouble communicating.

He could draw, write some letters and speak some words, so they had initially called him their "silent genius," so when they discovered the problem was an incurable disorder, they both broke down. After the initial shock passed, they decided they would do their best to care for him themselves rather than put him in an institution.

In those years, Stallone did his best to keep the boy away from the spotlight's glare and avoided photos as well. He also had to work a lot which left Czack spending the most time with the child until their relationship ended.

THIRD TIME'S THE CHARM

Sylvester Stallone met Jennifer Flavin, the third woman he married by chance, in a West Hollywood restaurant in 1988. She had been a 19-year-old girl on a visit to Hollywood with a friend, and he was an A–list star with eventful love life.

They hit it off even though there was a 23-year gap in their ages and started dating, but more than five years later, out of the blue, she received a "sloppy" six-page handwritten letter from the actor announcing the end of their relationship.

It contained many things except the real reason he was leaving the relationship, but she learned what it was from her agent at the Elite modeling agency where she had a contract.

It turned out that Stallone had been having an affair with Janice Dickinson, and she had welcomed a baby. It shocked Flavin, who had wanted to believe that the actor would remain exclusive to her. She said:

"I'm not naive about what may go on when I'm not around — he's a 45-year-old man — I can't change the way he is. Still, he's not a cheating dog every day of the week. We spend five out of seven nights together, so I don't know where he'd find the time."

The whole affair had her crying, but after some time, Flavin got herself under control and went on living. Following the birth of his alleged daughter, whom they named Savannah, Stallone started a relationship with Dickinson, and as time passed, she began to look forward to a wedding.

Unfortunately, Stallone had doubts about the baby being his, so he had the child tested. The results showed he was not the girl's father, and it spelled doom for their relationship. The actor eventually left her and reunited with Flavin in 1995.

Stallone and Flavin dated for two more years after their reunion, and it was during that time they welcomed their first child, Sophia, together. Their marriage happened in 1997 at London's Dorchester Hotel, and the following year they welcomed their second child, Sistine. Their third child was born in 2002, and her name is Scarlet.

As a father, Stallone does his best to be there for his kids, and he has a great relationship with all four of them. Little is known about his only living son Seargoeh, but the actor's three daughters have grown up into beautiful people who have demonstrated their talents as successful models.

His second daughter has also starred in a movie titled "47 Meters Down: Uncaged" and has had the privilege of walking the red carpet with her father.

Scarlet, his third daughter, also enjoys a promising modeling career and has appeared in a movie as well, proof that talent runs in their family.

Speaking about his life as a family man, Stallone has revealed that his household is ruled by the females in his life, and he pretty much just stays quiet while they do their thing.

Stallone has a great relationship with his family. Even though he has also expressed a desire to be in a male-dominated environment, the actor probably wouldn't change anything about his life right now.
