Warning: This piece contains spoilers for "Stranger Things" season four.

"Stranger Things" season four broke Netflix's binge-watching record, and Jamie Campbell Bower was part of the impressive milestone. He portrayed the same character, but we knew him by Henry Creel, One, and Vecna.

Vecna was undoubtedly his darkest version, and he is the main villain of the season. Bower needed over seven hours in the makeup room to turn into the entity that lives in the Upside Down, but each second was worth it.

JAMIE CAMPBELL BOWER ON "STRANGER THINGS"

Bower admitted that the "Stranger Things" fandom was terrific. He has been part of other important projects for the popular culture, so he knew what would come. Still, he is grateful for the love people have shown for his work and the show.

It is essential to point out that Bower didn't get a character description when he auditioned. He knew it was for "Stranger Things," but he only got two sets of sides from "Primal Fear" and "Hellraiser."

Once Bower landed the part, read the script, and learned what his character was about, he understood he could be as dark as he wanted. It worked out great as even his co-stars were afraid of him.

Bower revealed that Millie Bobby Brown was "absolutely terrified." She even called her mom in tears to tell her that "Jamie wasn't there anymore." The actors who played Fred and Chrissy in the show were also scared.

WHO IS JAMIE CAMPBELL BOWER?

Portraying three facets of the same character showed Bower's range as an actor, but his true fans already knew what he was capable of. Born in November 1988, the English actor has worked on different high-profile projects.

Before "The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones" flopped in 2013, Bower appeared opposite Johnny Depp in "Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street."

He then portrayed Caius in the "Twilight" saga and the young Gellert Grindelwald in the first part of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" and "Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald."

Being an accomplished actor is hard enough, but Bower is also a musician. He has been part of different bands throughout his career, was the lead vocalist and guitarist of the punk band Counterfeit between 2015 and 2020, and began pursuing a solo career as Jamie Bower.

IS JAMIE CAMPBELL BOWER DATING?

Bower's dating life has also made headlines. After being engaged to his "Harry Potter" co-star Bonnie Wright (Ginny Weasley), for about a year, he started dating his "The Mortal Instruments" love interest Lily Collins. Collins and Bower parted ways after one year, though.

They reconciled in 2015 but broke up shortly after. In January 2018, they sparked reconciliation rumors again. Apart from re-following each other on social media, Collins and Bower began commenting on each other's posts.

They eventually switched their relationship to the permanent "off" position, and Collins married film director and writer Charlie McDowell. "Stranger Things" season four, part two, will launch on July 1, 2022.
