Charlie Sheen's daughter Sam "Sami" Sheen recently made headlines after joining OnlyFans. Not proud of this move, the actor went on to blame his ex-wife, Denise Richards, with whom he shares Sami.

OnlyFans is a controversial platform known for adult content. The "Platoon" star, 56, said their 18-year-old daughter would never have signed up on the platform "under my roof."

While he does not support it, Charlie stated that there is little he can do other than encourage his daughter to keep her content classy and creative and not compromise her integrity.

WHAT IS CHARLIE SHEEN'S REAL NAME?

Other than his current drama involving his daughter and ex-wife, another interesting fact about Charlie's family is that he has a brother named Emilio Estevez. Why do they have different surnames?

Their father Martin Sheen's real name is Ramón Antonio Gerardo Estévez. Martin is a multiple Emmy and Golden Globe winner who is regarded as one of America's most accomplished actors.

Charlie Sheen himself was born Carlos Irwin Estévez. But when he was only four years old, he changed his name to Charlie. He has an uncle named Carlos, and the actor did not want to be confused growing up around an uncle with the same name.

When he decided to become an actor, Charlie changed his surname from Estévez to Sheen. He previously said that he identifies more as an American white man than a Latino.

But he clarified that he is not ashamed and is not attempting to conceal it. Born in New York and raised in Malibu, Charlie said the Latin culture was never a part of his life growing up.

According to the "Two and a Half Men" actor, his parents did not infuse their Latino heritage. His brother Emilio, on the other hand, uses his given name.

While Charlie and Emilio grew up in the spotlight, they have lived different paths. Sheen has endured very public battles with substance abuse. He's often made headlines with his controversial behavior.

Emilio's life is so much different from Charlie's. Charlie's older brother ditched his party-boy persona and settled into a more tranquil and peaceful way of life.

Emilio once admitted that he could not grasp Charlie's problems, mainly because they were raised under the same roof with the same set of rules.

Emilio, who simply wants the best for his brother, felt that Charlie's substance abuse was genetic and sometimes skipped a generation or siblings.

However, Emilio's past mistakes appear to be a huge stumbling block between him and Charlie, discouraging his brother from accepting pieces of advice.

Charlie announced in November 2015 that he was HIV-positive, and his public image has been less tumultuous. He is also sober now. Emilio has been proud of Charlie's accomplishments and openness about his sobriety. He said, "We're just proud of him."
