'X Factor' Star Tom Mann's Fiancée Dies on Their Wedding Day — The Singer Is 'Completely Broken'

What would have been one of the happiest days in Tom Mann's life has turned out to be a tragic day. The singer is left to look after his eight-month-old son after his wife suddenly died on their wedding day. Here is what Mann had to say about the irreparable loss.

Tom Mann became famous in 2014 following his appearance on the eleventh season of the Britain singing competition, "X-Factor."

However, in recent years, the singer has been in the news for various other reasons, one of which is his relationship with his late fiancée, Dani Hampson.

The lovebirds made headlines in December 2019 when they got engaged a few months after buying a house together in the UK.

Following their engagement, Mann and Hampson were set to walk down the aisle in September 2020, but their plans changed due to the pandemic.

On what would have been the couple's wedding day, Hampson shared a heartfelt post on Instagram. "I can't wait to marry you, but the world has other plans," she wrote alongside a picture of her and Mann.

The pandemic may have hindered the duo from tying the knot earlier, but it did not prevent them from expanding their family. In June 2021, Mann and Hampson announced that they were expecting a child. A few months later, on October 18, 2021, the pair welcomed their son, Bowie.

Mann introduced the baby to his Instagram fans a few days after birth, noting that "you are already my everything Bowie."

That same day, Hampson also shared pictures of the newborn on her Instagram page alongside a heartwarming caption.

About two weeks after Bowie's birth, Mann celebrated his 28th birthday, and Hampson marked the occasion with a lovely post as his first birthday since his son was born.

"Watching you become a Dad has been nothing short of wonderful," Hampson wrote (via US Magazine).

Besides being a father and the singer who appeared on X Factor in 2014, there are other lesser-known facts about Mann.

For example, in March 2018, he and Liam Payne, an X-Factor alum, performed a cover of John Mayer's "Waiting on the World To Change" at a Commonwealth Day service.

Another fact about Mann is that he was briefly a member of a boy band called Stereo Kicks. Other band members were Barclay Beales, Charlie Jones, James Graham, Jake Sims, Chris Leonard, Reece Bibby, and Casey Johnson.

SUDDEN DEATH ON A WEDDING DAY

On June 18, 2022, Mann and his fiancée's family were thrown into a state of mourning following Hampson's unexpected demise on her wedding day.

Two days later, the X Factor alum announced the tragic news on Instagram, leaving netizens in shock. Mann posted a monochrome snap of Hampson carrying their little son alongside a caption filled with heartbreaking words.

The singer confessed that he could not believe he was writing that the love of his life had passed away. According to Mann:

"On what was supposed to be the happiest day of our lives ended in irreversible heartbreak. I feel like I have cried an ocean."

Mann mentioned that Hampson was his entire world and the best thing that ever happened to him. The singer vowed to wear the wedding ring, which was meant to symbolize his undying love for his fiancée.

Mann also promised to be strong for Bowie and do everything possible to raise him the way he and Hampson had planned. In his words:

"I will not be a mark on the parent that you had become but I promise, I will do my everything to raise Bowie just the way we always wanted. I promise you, he will know how amazing his mummy was. I promise to make you so so proud."

In the concluding part of the caption, Mann described Hampson as the most beautiful person inside out and the most incredible soul. He further wrote:

"I will try to find peace in your messages and comments, but right now, I am grieving, and I will be for a very, very long time. My darling Dani, the brightest light in any room, my world is nothing but darkness without you. I will miss you forever."

Since the post was shared, it has garnered over 78 thousand likes and three thousand comments. In addition, celebrities, friends, and fans have sent condolence messages and prayers to Mann and his family.

Meanwhile, the cause of Hampson's death is yet to be confirmed, as reports have it that she did not have any health issues before she passed away.

DANI'S FAMILY SPEAK OUT

Mann is not the only one who has paid tribute to the deceased 34-year-old. Other members of Hampson's family have also taken to social media to pour out their hearts. On June 21, 2022, Hampson's father, Martin, shared his thoughts on his daughter's demise.

He described the mom of one as the beating heart of their family and the loving, successful, intelligent daughter who always put everybody before herself. Martin made it known that the family was devastated and utterly heartbroken.

"People say the hurt will ease in time, but as it stands, we are broken. Danielle, we will love you forever. Sleep tight, sweetheart, sleep tight xxxx," he concluded.

That same day, Hampson's brother, Andrew, also paid tribute to his late sister. He shared a black and white picture of him and Hampson holding each other while wearing big smiles. Andrew accompanied the photo with a caption that read:

"On the June 17, my beautiful sister Danielle was finally about to marry the love of her life, Tom. Tragically, my sister never made it to the wedding."

Andrew went on to admit how much of an amazing sister Hampson was, recounting all of her good deeds.

But, overall, Andrew wished he could have one last hug, laugh, and drink with Hampson and an opportunity to tell her that she was everything to him.

Besides Martin and Andrew, other family members, like Hampson's sister-in-law, have also expressed sadness.
