Manny Pacquiao is known as one of the greatest boxers of his time, but these days he has managed to cement his rank as a high-profile politician in his native country, the Philippines.

Pacquiao met the mother of his kids, Jinkee, in a local mall, where he eventually worked up the courage to ask her out on a date. The pair dated for about seven months before they tied the knot.

The wedding happened in May 2000, and he was still a minor domestic fighter at the time. In 2003, the boxer beat Marco Antonia Barrera, becoming a known face all over the world and thrusting their relationship under the glare of the spotlight. Jinkee recalls how she felt at that moment:

"That time I feel that, oh, Manny's really famous. This is not only the Philippines. This is the whole world. This is very different. So is our lifestyle. And the people surrounding us also."

Their marriage has remained successful and has proven profitable for Jinkee, who ran for office in 2013 and became vice governor of Sarangani province in Mindanao. She served a term before retiring to focus on their family and her other businesses.

Their marriage has been able to withstand the numerous affairs Pacquiao has been linked to, and the pair have five kids to show for it.

JIMUEL AND MICHAEL PACQUIAO

Jimuel and Michael are the oldest of Pacquiao's children. The pair have expressed a desire to pursue showbiz, and for the most part, their parents have been supportive of that.

Jimuel has a YouTube page with over 500,000 subscribers. His videos depict his lifestyle, and the views they rake in sometimes climb as high as three million.

He also wants to box, but his father has been very rigid about that, calling it a "tough sport" he doesn't want his children involved in.

Pacquiao believes boxing to be punishing and dangerous, having lost his close friend, Eugene Barutag, after a battle in 1995.

However, Pacquiao seems to have changed his mind and now supports his son as he embarks on his journey to becoming a boxer.

Jimuel has also set his sights on acting and has been working towards becoming an actor, while his brother Michael is an upcoming rapper.

Unlike Jimuel, Michael is not big on being in front of the cameras. His Instagram page has fewer posts, and only a few of them show his face.

He kicked off his music career in December 2019 when he launched a YouTube channel where he posts his work.

He takes swimming lessons and his sixth birthday ceremony was a resounding success even though it happened amidst the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.

There were many gifts, and he was surrounded by family for the celebrations despite the tight restrictions.
