Pregnant Sophie Turner: Details She Shared in a Recent Elle Interview

Sophie Turner, pregnant with her second child with Joe Jonas, is the recent talk of the town. She has been quite open about motherhood and recently spoke about her pregnancy and married life in interviews.

When she was spotted with a growing baby bump, Sophie Turner sparked pregnancy rumors. This is her second child with her husband, Joe Jonas.

Although neither Turner nor Jonas publicly made a pregnancy announcement, they later opened up about their parenthood journey. The couple behaved in a similar manner before the birth of their first child, Willa, in 2020.

Back then, the couple's representatives only confirmed the news when the "Game of Thrones" star had already given birth. Apart from that, no details were shared with the public during the pregnancy and even after.

TURNER TALKS TO ELLE ABOUT HER SECOND PREGNANCY

Turner is now more open about motherhood and shared her thoughts as an expecting mom. "It's what life is about for me – raising the next generation," she said and added:

"The greatest thing in life is seeing my daughter go from strength to strength. We're so excited to be expanding the family. It's the best blessing ever."

In May 2022, Turner and Jonas walked the Met Gala red carpet, showing off the baby bump. Turner looked stunning in an embellished black gown that flowed to the ground, while Jonas looked dapper in a white tux with a black collar and buttons and floor-length tails made from white lace.

In a previous interview, the actress revealed how her nearly two-year-old daughter reacted to becoming a big sister despite not fully grasping the concept of pregnancy. According to Turner, Willa knows what's growing inside her mother's stomach, but only to a certain extent.

"I'll point to my stomach and say, 'What's in there?' And she'll go, 'Baby.' But then she points to her own stomach and says, 'Baby,' and then she'll point to her dad's tummy and say, 'Baby,'" Turner shared.

Although she may not fully understand what's happening, Willa grew more affectionate toward her mom and wanted to be around Turner. "She's claiming her territory," the actress said.

SOPHIE TURNER IS PROTECTIVE OF WILLA

Now that they have a family of their own, Turner and Jonas purposefully keep their lives private. Turner admits that she is protective of her personal life and only walks the red carpet with her husband when it suits their careers.

Willa never asked for a life in the spotlight, which is why Turner tries her best to keep her daughter's life out of the public eye. As a celebrity, Turner knows what being photographed all the time feels like. She is also well aware of people's harsh comments about her online.

"It's not something I want her to deal with," she said of her daughter. However, if Willa chose a path that put her in the limelight, Turner and Jonas would support and encourage their daughter to reach her dreams.

Willa's parents are adamant about their daughter not doing anything professional until she turns 18. "I also feel quite strongly about my daughter not becoming a nepotism child," Turner added.

Jonas also spoke about fatherhood in a previous interview, calling it a beautiful experience. With another child on the way, the Jonas Brothers member will soon have more to marvel at.

This time around, Jonas is "maybe a little less nervous" to welcome his second child, as he revealed to People. The "Camp Rock" star added:

"You really don't know what to expect, but I'm just excited."

Jonas said that fatherhood was "such an amazing part of life” after becoming a dad. It was the first time he commented on his and Turner's unborn child.

SOPHIE TURNER ON BEING MARRIED

Jonas and Turner have been married for three years. They first tied the knot on May 1, 2019, in Las Vegas and had a more formal ceremony about two months later in the south of France.

When asked about married life, Turner said, "I feel like the only thing that's changed for me is having this incredible sense of security. Just the word husband and the word wife – it just solidifies the relationship." She added:

"I love being married. I think it's wonderful. I'm sure we’ll have our hiccups and our different things, but right now, it's like the security and the safety is everything."

Turner also has great sisters-in-law who she said are "actually really cool, who I can hang out with, and we can really talk to each other about, like, how crazy the boys' lives are. We relate on so many different levels."
