She was raised in her hometown, where she also schooled. After completing high school in Pensacola, she attended Davidson College. Before meeting Martin, she worked as a writer, and many years after their union, Stringfield still holds her job as a writing expert.

Anne Met Her Love at Work

Like his wife, Martin is a professional writer who became famous for his brilliance in scripting television comedies like "The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour," among others. He later became a TV host for "Saturday Night Live" before branching into acting, singing, and producing.

Even with his years of experience, Martin has stayed humble and is a family-oriented man who met his second wife years after his first divorce. It was during Stringfield's days as a fact-checker for New Yorker in the early 2000s. She had called to check one of his comedy pieces, and they began talking regularly. Martin confessed they kept to phone conversations for a year before meeting in person.

In July 2007, the couple exchanged vows in front of less than a hundred guests. Their invitees included big names in Hollywood like Tom Hanks, Eugene Levy, and Diane Keaton. The ceremony was officiated by a former Nebraska Senator, Bob Kerrey.

This wedding was a surprise to the guests, as the couple invited them to a party without disclosing the details. Martin was 61, and this was the second time he would say wedding vows. On the other hand, it was Stringfield's first, and she was 35.

Steve Martin Holds Anne in High Regard

Five years after their surprise wedding, Stringfield became a mother, which was a first-time experience for the couple. They welcomed their daughter, Mary, in 2012. Since becoming a mom, Stringfield has stepped up to the responsibility and has not lagged in her duties. She has even earned praise from her husband, who described her as a "wonderful wife and mother."

The writer chose to raise her daughter away from the prying eyes of the media, and so far, it has been a success. As a result, little or no details about the family's parenting style or routines with their child are known.

Stringfield's privacy is airtight, and she has never shared information about Mary on social media. Martin equally gets the memo; he rarely shares anything about their clan. However, there was a rare post in December 2019 when the actor shared tidbits of their family tradition with a food-inspired snap.

Like his wife, the comedian handles parenting well, despite being a father at nearly 70! At the time, Martin revealed that he could not be any prouder than he is now about parenthood, hinting that it came at the right time as he said:

"I think if I'd had a child earlier, I would have been a lousy father because I would have misplaced my attention on my career."

Additionally, Stringfield's staying out of the spotlight ritual does not affect the time she spends with their child. The writer does not mind being photographed by the paparazzi during outings with her mini-me.

Anne Stringfield Played in a Series with Her Husband

As mentioned earlier, Stringfield is very private and has not had much of a public appearance until recently when she starred with her husband in a Hulu original titled "Only Murders in the Building."

She played an unnoticeable role as Tina Fey's assistant. Seeing these women side by side emphasized their uncanny resemblance; even Fey once observed the similarities.

A few years ago, while delivering her speech at the 43rd American Film Institute Life Achievement Award, the actress jokingly mentioned that Martin "married a woman who is like a younger, smarter, thinner version of her."

Fey is not the only actress who looks like Stringfield's twin. Earlier in the year, Kristin Davis clarified a nearly two-decade-old rumor about her dating Martin. It was because of the similarities between the actress and his wife. She claimed that her face was photoshopped with Stringfield's body to fuel the rumors.

Despite her shy personality and love for privacy, Stringfield has appeared in the headlines. Still, that has not stopped her from supporting her husband when necessary. The writer occasionally tags as Martin's date to star-studded events.

In the past, she has attended BOMB's 38th Anniversary Gala & Auction, American Museum Of Natural History Gala 2021, Central Park Conservancy's 39th Annual Frederick Law Olmsted Awards Luncheon, and American Film Institute's 45th Life Achievement Award Gala Tribute to Diane Keaton - Roaming Show.

While Stringfield has not changed her non-disclosure mode of operation: living under the radar, she is only committed to one thing: being a great mother and dedicated wife.
