Former professional basketball player, Rick Fox, is a doting father of two adult children who own businesses. Fox is a hands-on dad who shares his kids with two different women.
Canadian-Bahamian actor Rick Fox has two kids, a son named Kyle and a daughter named Sasha. Rick shares his first-born Kyle with his ex-girlfriend, Kari Hillsman.
Rick and Hillsman dated when he was playing for the Boston Celtics. Their son arrived in October 1994, but they later parted ways.

Rick welcomed his daughter Sasha with actress and former beauty queen Vanessa Williams. The pair had their child in May 2000.
Williams and Rick eloped a year after they met in the Caribbean. They later had another wedding ceremony the same year in New York City.

The couple met in August 1998 and were introduced by supermodel Tyra Banks whom Rick was dating. However, when they split, he started dating Williams.
In a joint interview with the New York Times in November 2005, Williams revealed what attracted her to Rick: "he was mature for his age, and he wanted me from the beginning." She also divulged that he told her that he would not marry anyone else except her:
"He said that 'if I don't marry you, I am not going to marry anybody else.' That was very comforting."

The lovebirds eloped a year later, in the summer of September 1999. But they promised family and friends that they would have an official ceremony, which they did that fall, in an extravagant ceremony at the Church of the Holy Trinity in New York City. Rick and Williams had their gala reception at the St. Regis Hotel.
In July 2017, the Miss America title winner posted a throwback photo of her meeting Rick for the first time. The pair were pictured shaking hands while smiling at each other. Williams captioned the post:
"#fbf First handshake with @imrickafox in 1998. We were wed a year later."
From the beginning of their marriage, the couple knew how they would handle their finances. Willams revealed that she never even thought of having Rick control her assets, "Keeping it separate is less stressful."
At the time, the singer mentioned that she and her then-newly-wedded husband had not discussed having joint accounts. She also stated they would split the costs of their daughter's education.
Notably, Williams has two other children from her first marriage with Ramon Hervey and explained she would also have to carry the load of their expenses. She has a son named Devin and daughters, Melanie and Jillian.
In addition to her marriage with Rick, the pair had his-and-hers homes as he lived on the West Coast while she lived on the East. When they went on a trip to Hawaii once, Williams disclosed that they had their bills separate:
"I sent my bills to my people, and he sent his bills to his people. It's nice to have the freedom of being independent."
Williams had her money tied up in real estate while Rick dipped his into the market. Unfortunately, the duo split following five years of marriage.
Rick filed for divorce from Williams in August 2005, and at the time, but did not state why. However, a source revealed to People that the couple's divorce was foreseeable because they "spent their entire marriage living on opposite coasts."
Williams later confirmed it in her essay, mentioning that age was also a factor. The fashion designer divulged that when she married Rick, she was 36, so she was uncomfortable with their age difference.

Moreover, the Hollywood starlet mentioned that him being in the NBA was new for her even though they were both in showbiz but that his career was more high profile which she never expected it to be:
"Given our professions, proximity was a tremendous obstacle, so we had that issue on top of the age thing."
RICK IS ONE 'PROUD' FATHER
Although he filed for divorce, Rick remained an excellent father to his kids. In October 2017, he paid a birthday tribute to his son Kyle on Instagram, sharing a throwback snapshot of the father and son beaming to the camera, writing:
"#BirthdayFilter for my son today – On October 13, 1994, you entered my life and changed my reason for living forever; Happy Birthday. So proud to be your Dad!"
In December 2018, Rick revealed to the Washington Post that he was barely at home while playing for the Los Angeles Lakers when Kyle was still a child. He also dabbled in acting during the offseason, which meant less time spent with his son.
However, things started to change when Kyle decided to go to college in Los Angeles as the doting dad saw an opportunity to make up for the lost time. That started with playing video games.
Kyle expressed an interest in being a video game developer for Riot Games, which runs its well-known esports league and publishes the game "League of Legends."
The father and so duo once received an invite to the game's competitive circuit finals in New York. Rick was asked to give a pep talk to Kyle's favorite team, which won big during a sold-out area.
That was when Rick decided to invest in esports, something his son had a passion for. A few months later, he became the owner of an esports organization, which he bought for a reported $1 million.
It took a while for Kyle to let the news sink in, and his father shared it was his way of supporting him. "This is his thing. I'm supposed to support him in what he wants to do," said Rick.
Rick mentioned that because children now experience different things, parents need to catch up with them because if not, they would miss out:
"Parents need to understand that change happens, and if you're not open to it, you are going to be late to the party."
That said, the pair reconnected through video gaming over the years. The "Meet the Browns" star said Kyle was the number one reason he was now part of the esports industry.
"Video games taught both of us about our relationship," said the proud dad. Kyle himself is now a video game designer, per his Instagram bio.
RICK REMAINS FRIENDS WITH WILLIAMS
Despite Rick's divorce from Williams, the pair remain friends and co-parent their daughter Sasha. In February 2016, "The Game" alum took his out to an NBA All-Star during All-Star Weekend.
He posted a picture of him and Sasha having a blast during the game, all smiles as she was photographed glancing over at her dad. Rick captioned the post, "Me and my beautiful daughter @sashafoxy enjoying @kobebryant last NBA All-Star Game #NBAAllStarTO #allstarweekend #toronto #proudfather."
Sasha turned 18 in May 2018, and her dad shared throwback photos of them widely smiling for the snap. Rick also posted a recent image of his grown-up daughter and wrote a lengthy birthday tribute to her, saying he was "proud to be Your Guide Your Protector Your Dad Sasha."
Then on March 5, 2022, Rick shared a photo with his daughter being goofy in the car, writing that he was overly proud of her for forging her path:
"2/2 of my world. My beautiful baby girl. You forged your own incredible path, and I couldn't be more proud of you. #prouddad"
Sasha has followed in her parents' footsteps by becoming an actor. She made her film debut alongside her dad in "One Fine Christmas."
She told Extra TV in November 2019 that both her mom and dad wanted her to try acting at only a later stage in her life to have a high school experience.
Sasha also dabbles in plus-size modeling, she got recruited via social media, and it took her aback because she had never thought of being a model before.
However, she decided to take the plunge and try it out and has been at it ever since. Sasha also mentioned that she has an interest in directing.

Besides being busy as a working adult, as of this writing, Sasha is also a student pursuing a degree at Chapman University in Orange, California.
