Alec Baldwin Is Expecting 7th Kid with 26-Years-Younger Wife after Miscarriages & Having 6th via Surrogate

Alec Baldwin and Hilaria Thomas' random meeting at a New York restaurant blossomed into a love story and a marriage packed with babies. The couple has shared their ups and down with conceiving their fifth child, but ten years later, Baldwin and Thomas are happy and expecting their seventh child!

Alec Baldwin is one of Hollywood's biggest movie stars; he has acted in famous films like "Rock of Ages" and "It's Complicated." The actor married actress and former fashion model Kimila Basinger from 1993 to 2002. The actor and actress have a daughter, Ireland Baldwin, together.

Since his nine-year union with Basinger ended, Baldwin did not think of giving marriage another chance until he met Hilaria Thomas, one of New York's well-known yoga instructors. Baldwin said, "I wasn't really ready to take that chance and act until I met Hilaria."

Thomas and Baldwine met randomly and the New York restaurant Pure Food and Wine in 2011. According to the owner of two yoga studios, Baldwin came up to her, held her hand, and said, "I must know you."

Confused, Thomas responded, "you must know me?" but that was just a strategy from Baldwine to introduce himself. The actor confessed that he had noticed Thomas chatting with her friends and knew he had to find a way to go to her.

After Baldwin's slick introduction, the two chatted for a bit before the actor handed her his card. Baldwin shared that he never asks a woman for their number. According to The New York Times, Thomas was skeptical about calling Baldwin, but her friends persuaded her.

Baldwin did not answer the phone call but returned to her with a voice mail message. Thomas was too nervous about opening it, so she asked her assistant to do it for her. All that Baldwin had said was that he wanted to talk and get to know her.

A few days after the back and forth, Thomas and Baldwin went on their first date. The Yoga instructor said Baldwin's movie status was the least of her concerns since she has never owned a television.

Thomas was more worried about the 26-year age gap between her and the "Rock of Ages" star. However, all the yoga guru's fears flew out the window because just a year after their first meeting, Baldwin and Thomas got married.

HILARIA THOMAS AND HER STEPDAUGHTER BECAME INSTANT GIRLFRIENDS

Thomas entered Ireland's life when she was 15, and the yoga instructor did not try to take over or disrupt her stepdaughter's relationship with her father. Thomas said:

“I never tried to be her mom… First of all, I’m 11 years older than her… And we are just like girlfriends.”

Thomas's priority remained for Ireland to know that she cares for her as much as her biological children. When Thomas married Baldwin in 2012, the couple did not wait long to have kids. In 2013 they welcomed their first daughter Carmen; in 2015, their son Rafael was born.

The following year the couple had their third child Leonardo, and two years later, Romeo came along, and they quickly became a family of seven.

However, the four kids Baldwin and Thomas already had were not enough. The actor appeared on the Ellen Degeneres show in 2019 and revealed that his wife wanted to go for baby number five.

Baldwin had just joked about when they had eleven strollers in their house; however, Thomas wanted a baby sister for their eldest daughter Carmen.

Thomas and Baldwin faced a difficult time when they experienced a miscarriage. The yoga instructor was open with her followers from the beginning of her pregnancy. Thomas already had known that her child had slim chances of surviving but shared the process anyway.

She firstly wrote about how she felt during her first trimester. "I’m nauseous, tired; my body is changing." Then the mother of four shared why she thought she was experiencing a miscarriage. Thomas said:

“The embryo has a heartbeat, but it isn’t strong, and the baby isn’t growing very much. So we wait—and this is hard. So much uncertainty...but the chances are very, very small”

A few days after the candid post, Thomas returned with an update. "There was no heartbeat today at my scan...so it's over," said the yoga instructor. Despite the heartbreak she might have felt, Thomas was grateful for her healthy four children and the support from her husband.

THE BALDWINS CONTINUE TO TRY FOR BABY NUMBER 5

After the heartbreak of losing their baby in the spring of 2019, Thomas announced in September of the same year that she was pregnant again. Unfortunately, the second time was not a success either.

Thomas shared a raw video of her emotions on Instagram. The fitness guru admitted that this miscarriage was not as evident as the first one and was in complete shock. Thomas wrote: "I'm really devastated right now...I was not expecting this when I went to my scan today."

Baldwin and Thomas did not give up; they announced they were pregnant for the third time after the two miscarriages the couple experienced. This time the baby was healthy, and the family of seven welcomed their fifth child Eduardo Baldwin.

Only five months after announcing the birth of their fifth child, Thomas and Baldwin had baby number six via a surrogate and welcomed a daughter, Lucia Baldwin.

The fitness guru and her actor husband keep growing their Baldwin pact. The couple announced in March that they would welcome their seventh child this coming autumn.

According to Baldwin, many ask why he has chosen to have as many kids as he has, and the actor responded with a sweet video of his son amused by seeing his face in the camera and captioned it,

“People ask why. This way. Being a parent is the ultimate journey.

The 64-year-old and his 38-year-old wife are happy to continue growing their family. On top of the exciting pregnancy news, Thomas and Baldwin also celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary milestone.
