Matt Damon Fell at 1st Sight for Divorced Barmaid Who Had Kid — She Became His Wife & Made Him a Dad of 4

Many women wanted Matt Damon, and he dated quite a number of them; however, none of them had his kids or was successful in getting him to marry them. Then he met Luciana in a noisy bar, and everything changed.

Matt Damon, one of the most handsome actors in Hollywood, has been romantically linked with different beautiful Hollywood women, including Minnie Driver, Winona Ryder, and Penelope Cruz.

Unfortunately, none of those relationships went very far; however, generally, he was a bachelor that many women would not have minded dating.

He started dating Minnie Driver after they met on the set of "Good Will Hunting," but not long after the movie helped him gain more fame, they separated, and he moved on with Ryder.

Ryder was introduced to him by his friend, Ben Affleck's lover Gwyneth Paltrow in December 1997. They hit off and dated for a few years before going their separate ways in 2000.

The actor moved on with Penelope Cruz, but that relationship also did not lead anywhere. The next time he was linked to another woman, she was completely different from his exes.

HE MET HIS TRUE LOVE BY CHANCE

The woman Matt Damon fell head over heels for was unlike any other woman he had been with in the past. She was a regular person who worked as a bartender to make ends meet for herself and her four-year-old daughter.

She was also a divorcee however, none of those characteristics was enough to stop Damon from falling head over heels for her the first time he set eyes on her. The actor even appreciated that she was not one of the Hollywood divas.

Damon met his wife at a Miami bar. He had been shooting a movie in Miami and was invited to have a beer with some of the other cast members.

He initially tried to weasel out of the engagement, but they convinced him to join them, and he eventually caved in to their request. According to him, he saw the Argentine woman, Luciana Barroso, across the room and knew he had found his missing rib.

Before he could speak to her, people started to recognize him and started asking for autographs. It started getting a little rough as some already had something to drink, so he hid behind her bar, hoping to stay out of sight.

He told her then that he had seen her earlier and wanted to speak to her, but rather than fawn over him like other people, she put him to work mixing drinks which he did very well because he had learned the art of bartending while filming a former movie.

That night he made Barroso a ton of tips because people wanted to see him, and while working together, Barroso also realized that they had a connection. When the night ended, he invited her to join him and his friends, but she refused, citing her daughter as the reason.

It impressed him that she had her priorities, and he fell more in love with her. Barroso was also floored with how cool he was with her being a mom; that was how their relationship began. She would later admit that the spark she felt that night was all that mattered to her, not who he was as an actor. In her words:

"I was just Matt. To me he is just Matt."

HE WAS AN OPEN BOOK

After establishing that they liked one another, the pair started dating in 2003. When he introduced her to friends at a local restaurant in Boston, he packed on the PDA, and those around him immediately knew that he was very serious about her.

According to his friend Jamal Prince, the actor was usually very secretive with his former lovers, but with Barroso, he was as open as a book making it clear that he loved her.

Theirs was a match made in heaven because, like him, she also wasn't into all the fanfare that came with being with a celebrity. Barroso was fine with just being with him, and the actor wouldn't have it any other way.

Damon quickly got along with her daughter, Alexia, and two years after they became lovers, he proposed to her. They got married in 2005 in a small, private ceremony held at an undisclosed location.

According to spokeswoman Jennifer Allen, one of the few people who witnessed the wedding was Barroso's daughter. Not even his best friend, Ben Affleck, was invited.

The rings they exchanged on that day were custom fitted with six tiny diamonds they divided between themselves and fixed on the insides of their wedding bands. The diamonds were a token of affection from Damon's grandpa to his grandma when they married.

According to the actor, his grandfather had not been able to afford much back then, so he had only gotten those tiny diamonds fixed into a ring for his grandma. She gave his mother that ring, and his mom passed it to him.

His grandparent's marriage lasted for several decades, and he hoped he wanted to carry the best of their union with him as he walked into his marriage.

In 2007, Damon was voted the sexiest man alive, but he tried all he could to turn down the accolade as he believed that he was far from that. He was still very much interested in keeping his life private, but he thanked everyone who voted for giving him such credit. He said:

"You gave an aging suburban dad the ego boost of a lifetime. My 9-year-old step daughter now thinks I'm cool… My wife now knows she's married to almost the sexiest guy alive."

If anyone had told Barroso that the actor she met that night would make her his wife, shower love on her child, and later be voted the sexiest man alive, she would have scoffed.

THEIR FAMILY

Since they tied the knot, Damon and his wife have welcomed three more daughters named Gia, Isabella, and Stella. Whenever he speaks of his family, the actor always says he has four kids, which means he considers Barroso's first child one of his as well.

Damon, who enjoys talking about his family on rare occasions, has admitted that being a father of four girls has changed him in a way he didn't know was possible.

Before he became a dad, he had always worried about getting "bodily fluids" from babies on himself; however, that changed after he had one of his own because he realized it was not so bad if it was one of his children.

Compared to other movie stars, Damon enjoys the privilege of raising his kids out of the public's eye, and this is because he becomes even more private when he becomes father to Lucy's daughter.

The proud family man has tattoos of the names of all his daughters and his wife, and he once shared a photo of it on his Instagram page, melting many hearts.

His relationship with Barroso has gone the distance, but the two renewed their vows on April 13, 2013, with about 50 guests in attendance. The ceremony occurred at St. Lucia's Sugar Beach Resort, which the actor rented out with six figures.

Fans hope things remain unchanged for the couple as time goes on; however, if that 15-minute long ceremony was any indication, they don't need a lot of encouragement.
