Kumar Rocker is a baseball pitcher who previously played for the Vanderbilt Commodores. Kumar Rocker's parents have been very supportive of the 22-year-old's career, but who are they?

Kumar Rocker's career is directly related to his parents, Tracy and Lu Rocker. The right-hander plays for the Tri-City ValleyCats, but has recently moved in what has been called a "draft-night shocker" and a "historic MBL pick."

The Texas Rangers have chosen the baseball player with the No.3 overall pick in the 2022 Major League Baseball Draft. This is after Kumar went unsigned by the New York Mets after being selected 10th overall.

Kumar's parents have been a huge inspiration behind the player's career, and he started getting noticed when he played on the USA Baseball team as a teenager in 2017. Meet the parents of this amazing sports star.

KUMAR ROCKER'S PARENTS: MEET TRACY AND LU ROCKER

Kumar Rocker is of African-American and Indian descent. His dad is American, while his mom is of Indian descent, and Kumar is very proud of his roots.

He's lucky to have a good relationship with his parents, Tracy and Lu Rocker. His parents, with whom he's on very good terms, are also very supportive.

Kumar's father, Tracy Rocker, is also associated with sports. He's a respected 30-year coaching veteran who first entered the NFL coaching scene with the Tennessee Titans as a defensive line coach.

Tracy's considered "one of the greatest college defensive linemen ever." In 2004, Tracy was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame and also won the Lombardi Award.

The Atlanta, Georgia, native also has a highly decorated career at Auburn, with inductions into the Alabama Sports Hall of Fame and Georgia Sports Hall of Fame.

Kumar's mother, Lalitha Rocker, popularly known as Lu, is the daughter of Indian immigrants. Lalitha's an instructional designer and revealed why she chose to name her son Kumar.

Kumar means "young child" or "prince" in Hindi, so Lalitha gave her son this name because of her Indian heritage. The mother said she did this to make Kumar aware of his heritage.

HOW DID KUMAR ROCKER'S PARENTS INFLUENCE HIS CAREER?

Kumar Rocker did not turn into a star overnight and became great at what he does without getting any support but received help from his incredible parents.

Kumar entered 2021 as the top-ranked Draft prospect but dropped due to inconsistent results. However, he was taken 10th by the Mets on Draft Day, but they didn't sign him due to injury concerns. He has played for the Vanderbilt Commodores and pitched for the Tri-City ValleyCats.

The sports star made history when he was part of one of the best 1-2 punches in the NCAA, and as a freshman, he also set NCAA Tournament records. Kumar has even made it three times on the Pipeline Top 200 list and has been called a "strikeout machine."

There's a saying which goes, "The apple does not fall too far from the tree," and this saying can't be more accurate or true for Kumar and Tracy Rocker.

Kumar's parents greatly influenced his career, which is no surprise since his father is also in sports. When the right-hander started out, he revealed that he relied on his parents' wisdom. Speaking to The Tennessean in 2019, Kumar further explained by saying:

"I'm an 18-year-old kid, so I was never going to make a decision like that without leaning on the wisdom of my parents, my elders."

It's also really amazing to see how Kumar's mother has always been supportive of her son's career. Kumar is so lucky to have his mother in his corner all the time. What a great mama!

Kumar has realized the importance of his parents' role in his life and is grateful to have parents who are so supportive of his journey as an emerging star. We will definitely hear more about this rising star in the future.
