Actor Jack Wagner found out he had fathered a child after a brief fling. Jack appeared on "Oprah: Where Are They Now?" in 2014 and recalled the time he first met his long-lost daughter.

Jack said just five minutes before he went up on stage to perform, a young girl came into his room and held him tight. Confused as he was, she asked him whether he knew who she was:

"She said, 'You don't know who I am, do you?' I said no. She said, 'I'm your daughter.'"

The "General Hospital" alum revealed that he and his daughter's mother "hooked up one time together, and she was in a position where she felt she wasn't able to raise" their child.

Jack shared that the mother of his child made the difficult decision to put their daughter, Kerry, up for adoption. He divulged that the day the unidentified woman gave birth to their child in 1988, she called and told him that she had a baby and that he was the father.

The Missouri native further stated that Kerry's mother had informed him about her decision to have their child adopted. Although he was skeptical at the time about whether or not she was telling the truth, Jack shared that he called his attorney and did the best he could to stop the adoption process, but to no avail as his legal options were limited.

HOW KERRY FOUND OUT ABOUT HER BIRTH FATHER

His adult daughter later tracked down her birth mother, whom she communicated with before meeting in person. When the father and daughter duo appeared on the "Anderson Live" chat show in April 2012, Kerry recalled how she learned about Jack.

The brunette beauty candidly revealed that she avoided asking her mother about her dad because she was afraid of what she might uncover about him. But the truth about who her birth father was came out in the open when she and her mom went through a photo album.

Kerry said her mother told her to brace herself as a photo of her father came up, and she told him who he was. She recounted that her mom asked whether she recognized the man in the picture, but Kerry was utterly in the dark. Her mother told her his name, and they googled him.

Jack divulged that when Kerry came into his "life in that very unusual way," she went on a cruise with him. They spent five days together and got to know each other:

"We did a DNA test, and she is my daughter, and it's a real blessing. It's been a real gift for me."

Jack met his long-lost daughter when she was a 23-year-old dance instructor based in Florida. Now, Kerry is into photography and performing arts, per her Instagram bio. Her dad told People in March 2012 that he still got emotional when talking about her a year later:

"I get so emotional. She's the new light in my life, as well as my sons, and I'm really grateful to her for having the courage to find me."

Per TMZ, Kerry grew up in New York City with her foster parents and had hired a private investigator to track down her biological parents. The P.I. had a breakthrough, leading her to a Boca Raton, Florida concert, where Jack performed on that eventful day.

Upon meeting, "The Bold and the Beautiful" star invited Kerry to another performance the next day and introduced her to the audience. He also asked her to spend Thanksgiving with his two sons, Harrison and Peter.

Jack welcomed his two children with his former co-star, wife, and actress, Kristina Wagner, whom he wed on December 18, 1993. Sadly, he and Kristina divorced on June 30, 2006, after 13 years of marriage.

The pair's eldest son, Peter, an actor known for "The Storyteller," was born in September 1990. He was followed by his younger brother, Harrison, who arrived in December 1994 and was an actor known for the 2000 movie "Protection."

Jack once said that his kids were at a point in their lives where he was their "moral compass. God help them both," he noted. The "When Calls The Heart" star is also one proud father.

He revealed that his firstborn had won the Bel-Air Junior Club Championship. "Parred the last three holes. One-putts, up and down. Us Wagners don't hit greens. We chip and putt," said the father of three.

When asked how his sons reacted to him having a daughter he never knew existed, Jack, disclosed that initially, they were "confused and wanted to have a DNA test, and we did that," he said.

The blended family spent a week together for the first time, and Jack explained that Kerry brought in "an incredible female energy into the boy-man house." He divulged that ultimately, all three of his children connected:

"They hit it off. They are close now. They are in constant contact, and it's just been a mini miracle for us."

Meanwhile, Kerry said she had always wanted siblings because she had none growing up. She described her two half-brothers as different people with contrasting personalities. Kerry also noted they developed an "automatic bond."

Just as she was getting used to having two brothers in her life, tragedy struck the family. The youngest of the siblings, Harrison, sadly died at age 27 from drug addiction in June 2022.

He was discovered dead in a parking lot in Los Angeles at the time. The Wagners revealed Harrison passed away after "he ultimately lost his battle with addiction."

Meanwhile, Peter paid tribute to his younger brother on social media. He posted a series of throwback photos of them as kids and briefly wrote: "Always with you."

Harrison's on-and-off long-time girlfriend, Sophia Bui, also penned a heartfelt letter to her beloved boyfriend in a lengthy Instagram post.

Bui expressed that she was "broken-hearted" while revealing that before Harrison died, they had plans, and he had called to apologize.

She mentioned that although they went through a roller coaster ride over the years, they loved each other immensely regardless of their issues. "I will always be your baby, babe. I will always choose to love you in this world and in any other life," Bui said. The couple was together for seven years.
