Prince William Sent Camilla's Daughter Laura 'into a Rage' & Had 'Terrible Fights' with Her, Claims Book
While Prince William and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, got along well from their first meeting, it was not the case with William and Camilla's daughter Laura. The two often blamed each other for their parents' failed marriages and constantly fought about it.
Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, had always been a permanent fixture in Prince Charles' life. From suffering public shame for having an affair while they were both married to finally taking over as his wife after Princess Diana died.
Following Diana's tragic demise, Camilla became Charles' most powerful support system. A mother herself, she recognized the need for Prince William and Prince Harry to have a strong father figure in their life, but it would also be inevitable that they would get introduced to her at some point.

The meeting between William and Camilla happened on June 12, 1998, barely a year after Diana passed. William was still very protective of his mother's memory, but his curiosity overrode his loyalty to his mother.
The thirty-minute conclave started with small talk, but soon, William realized he shared so much with Camilla. They had a mutual love for the countryside and shared a passion for riding and fox hunting.
Despite Diana blaming Camilla for the failure of her marriage to Charles, William and Camilla connected on a deeper level. That first meeting became so successful they planned a second one.

Tina Brown, the former editor for Vanity Fair, revealed details of the pair's connection, saying that William has since accepted Camilla due to her relationship with his father. She shared that through the years, William has acted mature about the situation.
After the success of William and Camilla's meeting, it was Harry's turn to meet his future step-mother. They met a few weeks later at Highgrove, with Charles and William accompanying the 14-year-old to help break the ice.

The meeting turned out to be a far cry from William and Camilla's as Harry was not as welcoming as William had been of their father's mistress. Camilla recalls that he looked at her "suspiciously" the first time he set his eyes on her.
The subtle animosity would remain for years to come, and even after so long, Harry has never fully embraced Camilla. Brown says that Harry has never made peace with Camilla's presence in their lives, claiming he does not want her to be queen. She also thinks Harry will probably never accept Camilla wholly.

William and Camilla did not only create a bond right off the bat, but the prince even got close to Camilla's children, who were several years older than him. Camilla's son Tom was an Etonian and Oxford graduate, and Laura had taken a gap year after finishing school.
He enjoyed listening to Laura's tales of her travels around South Africa. But do not be fooled. The pair fought a lot despite William's fascination with the slightly older Laura.

They often blamed each other for their parents' failed marriages and would go on about it for days. In her book, "William and Harry: Behind the Palace Walls," royal expert Katie Nicholl stated:
"William and Laura used to have terrible fights over who was to blame for their broken homes."

"William would blame Camilla for all the hurt she had caused his mother, which would send Laura into a rage." Nicholl wrote. Laura would not take it sitting down and would fire back at William, and the endless banter would go on and on. The book says:
"Laura was not having any of it. She would take a hard line and fire back at William, 'Your father has ruined my life.'"
Tom was not safe either. When the news of Camilla and Charles hit the press, he and Laura suffered the brunt of it at school as his friends would tease them about it.

William could relate as he, too, had suffered the same merciless humiliation from his peers. Eventually, as Charles and Camilla's relationship gained bearing, William and Laura stopped blaming each other's parents and started getting along well.
In recent years, William and Camilla have overcome their plight, and their relationship has improved dramatically. The father of three has even reportedly approved of Camilla taking on the title of Queen's Consort.
WILLIAM "GOT TEMPER"

The years following Camilla and Charles' marriage were riddled with colossal family rows as everyone tried to come to terms with the death of Diana and adjust to the family changes happening around them.
The period also brought out the worst in everyone. Camilla recalls that William and Charles had a troubled relationship then. She would be horrified at how William would rant and rave at his father while Charles would meekly cower.

The future Queen Consort did not know William to have such a temper and was shocked whenever the prince unleashed the vice in her presence. She would confide in her close friends about it, saying:
"The boy's got a temper!"
In his book "Battle of Brothers," Robert Lacey recounts that in the beginning, Camilla was petrified by the boy's temper, noting: "Charles's wife had been horrified at the ranting and raving that on occasion William had unleashed against her husband in her presence."

William wanted everything to be perfect, and whenever Charles failed to live up to his expectations, he would unleash wrath on him. Camilla says in those moments, William held nothing back.
Like his brother Harry, William has often had a raging temper. He would be especially furious about Charles' parenting failures and was unwilling to pretend that the workaholic, ever-worrying Charles had made good on all the hands-on parenting he'd promised.
William has since slowed down on the rants, and the spats are now a thing of the past. Since the inevitable changes the royals had to make after Harry's exit from royal life, William and Charles have gotten closer. They now, more than ever, recognize the need to be a team and work together for the monarchy's future.
