Pippa Middleton recently welcomed her third baby with her husband, James Matthew. After she revealed her baby's name, an article claimed it was connected to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's daughter. Fans are now calling out the claim saying they see no connection.

Pippa Middleton, the younger sister of Kate Middleton, married the love of her life, hedge fund manager and former professional racing driver James Matthews, five years ago. Their love story began when they started dating in 2012.

After breaking up shortly, they got back together three years later, and in June 2016, Matthews went down on one knee and popped the question, presenting Pippa with a gorgeous ring of his own design.

Pippa agreed to marry him, and the two finally walked down the aisle in a gorgeous spring ceremony at St. Mark's Church in Englefield, surrounded by close friends and family, including Prince Harry.

Pippa's sister, the Duchess of Cambridge, arranged the bridal shower that included her children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, who stole the show as pageboy and bridesmaid.

After the wedding ceremony, the lovebirds shared a kiss outside the church as attendees looked on, then rode off to the reception at Englefield House in a vintage convertible.

During Pippa and Matthew's engagement in 2016, the couple revealed their desire to start a family, a dream that came true in 2018. They had their first baby, son Arthur Michael William in October 2018.

Two and a half years later, the happy couple celebrated their fourth anniversary in 2021, alongside the birth of their second child, daughter Grace Elizabeth Jane. A source told People of the newborn at the time:

"She's perfect. Everyone is overjoyed at such a happy arrival."

Grace's second name, "Elizabeth," is a tribute to Pippa's older sister Kate, born Catherine Elizabeth Middleton, and is also associated with the Queen.

A NEW ADDITION TO THE MATTHEW FAMILY

A year later, the couple became pregnant again. Even though a representative for Pippa declined to comment, it was clear from the baby bump she spotted during a star-studded "Party at the Palace" concert outside Buckingham Palace at the beginning of June.

Pippa officially announced she was pregnant in a column in U.K's Waitrose Weekend newspaper, then shared how her pregnancy had affected her workout routine. She mused, as People reports:

"When I learned the happy news that I was pregnant, I realized I needed to adjust my four to five-day-a-week [fitness] routine."

In June 2022, Pippa and Matthews welcomed home their third baby. The little girl is the sixth grandchild of Michael and Carole Middleton and the little cousin to Kate and Prince William's three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

The Cambridge children can look forward to playing with their little cousins once the Matthews relocate closer home. The family of five is set to move to a village near Bucklebury in Berkshire. Their new home will be an hour's drive from Windsor, where Kate and William plan on relocating this summer.

PIPPA'S BABY GOT A FLOWER-INSPIRED NAME

Pippa and her husband were ecstatic to welcome home their newest addition and named her Rose, derived from the Latin "rosa," a reference to the flower.

Now, People claims Pippa and her husband chose the name in connection to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's 1-year-old daughter — Lilibet, whose name is also flower-inspired. The article claimed:

According to Nameberry, the intelligent, stylish baby names site, roses are also the birth month flower for June. The name ranked 61 on England's most popular girl names of 2020.

Today's Parent, a Canadian bi-monthly magazine, writes that the names Lili and Rose ranked first and second in the "sweet flower names for your baby" list.

According to the publication, Lili symbolizes innocence and purity and is often coined from the standard versions; Lillian or Lilliana. On the other hand, Rose is a charming botanical name derived directly from the rose flower.

FANS SAY THE NAMES HAVE ZERO CONNECTION

When fans found out about the claim, they took to Twitter to dispute it. Since Lilibet's birth in June 2021, it has always been clear that her name was in respect to Queen Elizabeth, whose childhood nickname was Lilibet.

It thus did not sit well with many fans that the article by People claimed that Pippa had copied the name for their child. One Twitter user wondered how the names Rose and Lilibet were connected while, in the real sense, Lilibet was a short form of the name Elizabeth.

One Twitter user, @Lady_Cairn1989, wrote: "I am sorry, but this is a huge ridiculous stretch. Where is the connection? Rose is a flower. Lilibet is a shortening through an inability to say Elizabeth. Elizabeth is not the name of a flower. This is the silliest thing I've seen on the internet today."

Another fan, @RobinLynnKing2, wondered why the article was forcing a connection while there was none: "Pippa & Meghan are not related, not friends."

"Their children are not cousins. Stop trying so hard. Can't you write about the Sussex without trying to connect the Royals? The story should have been about a new baby, period." @RobinLynnKing2 added.

Others felt the connection was too farfetched and claimed the two children, Rose and Lilibet, were in no way related. @Whistledowner noted that their parents were not even friends.

An angry fan @Squawboots called out the article saying Rose had no connection to Lilibet. She replied to the tweet: "I guarantee she has ZERO connection to Harry's daughter."

"Yup, just one big happy family, WRONG. Pippa's daughter is not Lili's cousin, and there is no blood connection." replied @MariaCarnivale.

Whenever there's been a question on matters involving Harry and Meghan, fans have always had divided opinions. However, this appears to be the first time the fans are on the same page in calling out the lack of connection between the names Rose and Lilibet.
