Conan O'Brien, a former TV writer, first gained significant prominence for his work as the host of the talk show "Late Night," and he went on to become known for his work as the host of "The Tonight Show" and "Conan."

How Did Conan Meet His Wife, Liza?
But how did the iconic romance begin: Conan and Liza each have their version of when they met and what brought them together. Conan said they met during a "Late Night" taping in 2002. Liza, who worked for an advertising firm doing an ad remake, was part of the audience. Conan recalled:
"Somewhere, in the vault at NBC, there's footage of me literally falling for my wife on camera."
Liza revealed that her advertising agency was called in to remake a terrible ad for one of the "Late Night" sponsors. She remembers that Conan and Mike Sweeney met at her agency to discuss the work, and her first impression was that he was grumpy because he had a cold.
The blond beauty recounted that at that time, she told Conan that she had to have children within the next five years, a very intimate conversation for a first meeting. Liza was attracted to Conan but was afraid to take him seriously because he was a media star.

On a second meeting, Conan invited Liza out for a beer, they started talking on the phone, and he became enchanted by her intelligence, humor, and striking beauty.
He invited Liza to a live shoot of the show, and it was in the green room that he first showed particular interest in her. It ended the collaboration between Liza's ad agency and Conan's show. Not wanting to lose touch, Liza gave Mike Sweeney a note asking Conan to stay in touch.
They quickly became friends and started dating; a romantic relationship blossomed, and he knew she was the woman he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. The couple ended up marrying two years later, in 2002.
Conan hit the headlines in January 2014 after a 20-year-old man named Greg Keating claimed he was the comedy star's "illegitimate son."
Their union has been filled with both joy and heartbreak. Conan's career suffered an upset after he lost his dream job as host of "The Tonight Show" in January 2010 after just seven months in the position.
The 59-year-old TV personality and his wife, Liza, share an interest in writing. Liza is a successful screenwriter and an advertising copywriter. After receiving her MFA in Fiction Writing from Columbia University School of the Arts, she became a screenwriter.
She had her screenplays staged at The Geffen Playhouse, The Blank Theatre, and Unscreened LA, among other venues. Liza has also worked on her husband's TV shows, such as "Conan O'Brien Can't Stop" and "Late Night With Conan O'Brien."

She has also contributed scriptwriting for her husband's previous comic performances. In addition, she launched a non-fiction podcast with Conan titled "Significant Others." Released on July 20, their podcast dives into the backstories of well-known historical figures.
Characters from the past are brought to life by some of Hollywood's famous stars, including Lisa Kudrow and Rita Wilson. Liza said there would be segments in the podcast that blend brief historical teachings with commentary on the modern perspective.
Liza said the idea for the show came from living with her comedian husband for the past twenty years. Her podcast comes after Conan launched his own, which has become an enormous success, "Conan O'Brien Needs a Friend."

Liza said the news that Conan was no longer on the show came after his comedy tour was over. She said her husband felt miserable, adding that the scenario made Conan the "most depressed."
Once Conan concluded his last episode on "The Tonight Show," his second-highest-rated episode, he told his wife that he felt like he was in an accident. Liza's understanding and support got Conan through that difficult stage of his life.

Liza understood Conan's feelings since he is an overachiever who finds dealing with loss or humiliation challenging. Her husband, who came from a prominent family, was a brilliant student in high school and college, earning several accolades.
But Conan soon recovered from his failure, regained his reputation, and found more opportunities in comedy. His comedy tours sold out in 30 cities, and he landed his self-titled talk show, "Conan," on TBS in 2010.
As he matured as a performer, Conan grew funnier and more skilled at making people laugh. Liza is thrilled with her husband's achievements in the entertainment industry. She will always be there for him, no matter where his work takes him.

Do Conan and Lisa Powel O'Brien Have Kids Together?
In addition to being successful in their careers, Conan and Liza are the doting parents of two children, daughter Neve, and son Beckett. Neve was born on October 14, 2003, a year after the wedding, and Beckett was born on November 9, 2005.
Conan made a memorable remark regarding his role as a parent while their children were still little. He joked that being a father is "the greatest," except for putting toys together since he tended to break stuff before his kids could play with them.
Conan hit the headlines in January 2014 after a 20-year-old man named Greg Keating claimed he was the comedy star's "illegitimate son." The young man looked enough like Conan to start wild rumors, and the scandal swept the entertainment world.

A video of Greg asking Conan for tuition money went viral as he shared an uncanny resemblance with the famous TV show host. Keating was reportedly a Temple University student born in New Jersey.
Intrigued by the resemblance, fans called for Conan to have a paternity test. However, the comedian himself hilariously responded on Twitter, saying he has only three children, including Ronan Farrow.
Conan's reply came after an article from Vanity Fair suggested Ronan may be the late iconic crooner Frank Sinatra's son with ex-wife Mia Farrow. Because of this article, rumors about Ronan's parents' actress Mia Farrow and estranged filmmaker Woody Allen circulated.
Conan's joke made Farrow chuckle, and he later posted it on Twitter to share with his followers. While he may not be Conan's biological son, Greg said they might be distant cousins as he was also born into an Irish Catholic family in Massachusetts.
Despite all the challenges, personal and professional, Liza and Conan have built a wonderful life together and a beautiful family. Liza jokingly says that they would never have met if Conan's sponsor had a good ad.
