Isha Price: Meet Serena Williams' Sister & Executive Producer of Oscar-Winning 'King Richard'
Isha Price lent her talents as a producer to perfect the making of the award-winning film "King Richard," a biopic based on her family. Here are details that stand out about her.
Isha Price is the sister of two sports stars who have greatly influenced the game of tennis. Isha, Lyndrea, Serena, and Venus are known to be very close.
Serena and Venus Williams are her half-sisters on her mother's side, but Isha is not only known for being their sisters. Here are more details about her.
THE LIFE OF ISHA PRICE
Isha, 46, was born to Oracene Price and Yusef Rasheed, the first man Oracene married. She is the second oldest child of Oracene, and after her mom married Richard Williams, she was adopted and raised by him.
Despite being a relative to two famous faces, Isha Price has mostly flown under the public radar. Careerwise, Isha is just as successful as her sisters, except that her job does not grant her celebrity status.
Isha is a certified lawyer but has been flexing her creative muscles as a producer these days. Her Instagram page is filled with photos that capture things she loves doing.

Some of those include cooking, as she frequently posts baked treats. She also shares photos of her dog, Khan, whom she loves very much.
When she's not busy working, baking, or tending to Khan, Isha spends time with her sisters and supports them — a habit that started as a young child.
As it stands, it is not known if she has children. Isha is one of the Williams girls who is not involved in the game of tennis except when it comes to supporting Serena and Venus.
ISHA PRICE'S SPORTS-FOCUSED FAMILY
Isha's mother, Oracene Price, was born on April 3, 1952, and raised in Saginaw, Michigan. She graduated from Buena Vista High School in 1970 before getting a nursing degree from Western Michigan University.
While she worked as a nurse, Oracene met and fell in love with Richard Williams, whom she later married. By the time they met, she was already a mother of three girls — Yetunde, Isha, and Lyndrea — whom she had from a previous relationship.
Yetunde was the oldest and was a very successful woman. She had three kids, became a nurse like her mother, and even owned a hair salon.
Lyndrea was born three years after Isha, and like her sister, she did not take up tennis. Instead, she became a talented costume designer who also lent a hand in the production of "King Richard."
The man who fathered Isha and her two full-blooded sisters with Oracene was called Yusef Rasheed; however, not much is known about him because he passed away under unclear circumstances.
After Oracene married Richard, they welcomed three more kids: Serena, Venus, and Richard III. Richard became their daughters' coach when they were about four years old. He had decided his daughters would become tennis professionals after he watched Virginia Ruzici in a match on TV.

After the game, he reportedly wrote up a 78-page plan and started tutoring Venus and Serena while taking them to the public tennis courts to watch how the game was played.
Richard was so bent on his goals that he seemed crazy to other people; nonetheless, his daughters knew how much he loved them and was always ready to support and fight for them.
Serena went professional one year after Venus, and with their powerful strokes and superb athletic abilities, both women quickly rose through the ranks of the world's best tennis players.

Serena won six career U.S. Open titles, three French Opens, seven Wimbledon championships, and seven Australian Opens, making her the most decorated tennis player among men and women in the Open era.
Her sister, Venus, has also won the U.S. Open and Wimbledon titles several times, though not as much as Serena. The talented sports star also holds three Olympic gold medals, two of which she won with her sister in doubles events.
It is worth noting that their success is a product of their family's support. Isha used to help sort through their mail to weed out the racist and negative ones while other family members played different roles.

The family lost one of their members, Yetunde, along the line. She was with her boyfriend in a parked white SUV outside a house known as a drug hangout when she died.
At first, the police couldn't understand why she was 40 miles away from home at that time of the night. However, Roland Wormley, Yetunde's boyfriend, had gang ties and a criminal record.
After the shooting, Roland sped away to a relative's home, after which he called 911. Some hours later, there was a standoff at a house near the crime scene, and authorities arrested Aaron Michael Hammer.
Two days later, he was officially charged with the crime but pleaded not guilty. Justice prevailed in the end, and the remaining sisters have honored Yetunde in their own ways over the years.
In September 2021, Isha shared a tribute to Yetunde on Instagram and talked about how much she missed her and would continue to do so until "God's kingdom" brought an end to it.
Isha is on good terms with the rest of her siblings and parents. She has appeared alongside them on many occasions, and their bond is always apparent each time.
ISHA PRICE, EXECUTIVE PRODUCER OF "KING RICHARD"
Virtually nothing is known about Isha's work as a lawyer. However, her career as a producer looks promising. She lent her talents to making the biopic centered on their family, "King Richard," which showed how great she is at what she does.
Apart from being an executive producer, she also served as an advisor to director Reinaldo Marcus Green and the rest of the cast. Isha was involved from the very start. She was even the one who met scriptwriter Zach Baylin to read his script, which left her impressed.
After turning down many previous offers from writers in the past, Isha and the rest of the Williams family chose Zach. Isha called the film a "love letter" to her father in a post she shared after the Oscars that saw the biopic receive many accolades.
The film focuses on Richard and his struggles to get his children the respect the world had never given him. Isha, who executively produced the movie, shouldered most of the burden that came with making sure that her family was truthfully represented in the film.
She knew she had done well when she screened it with Serena and Venus; they reacted to it the same way she had when she first watched the finished product.
The movie was particularly emotional for them because it also touched on Yetunde's life and death — a tragedy that shook their family.
The success of "King Richard" had a lot to do with Isha's input and will undoubtedly open many doors for her as a producer. And perhaps it will keep her on the public's radar. As it stands, little is known about her personal and love life. But if she gets more famous, that may change.
