Haley Arnaz Is Desi Arnaz’s Adopted Daughter - She Became a Ballerina Like Her Mother Amy

Haley Arnaz became a performer like her parents, Amy and Desi Arnaz Jr. However; she lives a very private life with little shared about herself.

Haley Arnaz's life changed the moment actor Desi Arnaz Jr. became her adoptive father while married to Amy Arnaz.

She was the only daughter of the famous couple throughout their marriage and was raised in Boulder City, Nevada.

Although her father was known in the entertainment industry, Haley did not follow in his footsteps as an actor. However, she does have film credit in the "I Love Lucy's 50th Anniversary Special."

Desi Arnaz Jr adopted Haley Arnaz.

Born on December 17, 1976, Haley is the biological daughter of Amy and her first husband, Gary Charf. The pair married on September 6, 1975, and divorced four years later on May 1, 1979. It wasn't until Amy married Desi that he decided to adopt Haley legally.

Growing up with parents active in the entertainment industry, Haley naturally followed their path and became a performer. Notably, she was a ballerina.

At the young age of 15, the actor became a father while involved with a model named Susan Howe. The result of their relationship was Haley's older step-sister, Julia Howe.

Haley's mother once wrote a series of children's books, "Little Haley Stories," inspired by her daughter. Among them was "Clara's Nutcracker: Little Haley Stories," which told the tale of little Haley wanting to take a lead role in ballet.

Haley Arnaz Is a Ballet Dancer

Haley became a ballerina like her mother and is known to have performed in Boulder City Ballet Co.'s "The Nutcracker" in 2006. Then 31, Haley danced as the Princess in the Land of Sweets at Desi's The Boulder Theatre.

Her performance was even more special as Haley's mother served as the company's executive director. Haley said at that time:

"It is the most loved ballet of all time/ It takes place in St. Petersburg, Russia, in 1895. The music is by Tchaikovsky. We have these three different, beautiful backdrops. It's a very quaint, beautiful set."

Apart from her on-stage performance, Haley was mentioned in a special thanks in the documentary "I Love Lucy's 50th Anniversary Special," released in 2001.

This TV Special was dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the show "I Love Lucy," which starred Haley's grandmother, Lucille Ball.

Haley's mother was a dance instructor and also competed in the Miss Las Vegas and Miss Nevada competitions in the '70s. She passed away on January 23, 2015, in Boulder City, Nevada, due to brain cancer. She was only 63 at her time of death.

"I can't believe how many people love my mom and how many people care for her," Haley said during the celebration of her mom's life with the community that loved Amy. "They drove from all over, and it's beautiful."

Meanwhile, Haley's father, Desi, was devastated by Amy's passing. Before living a beautiful married life with Amy, Desi married "Matlock" actress Linda Purl. Like his parents, Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz, their marriage ended in divorce.

For some time, Desi denied being Julia's father, but according to his daughter, they were able to reconcile and rebuild their relationship. He has since played a significant role in her life, specifically during her time in rehab.
