Girl Draws Pictures & Brings Them to Late Mom’s Grave, Once Sees Another Picture There – Story of the Day
A little girl struggling to cope with her mother's loss draws pictures of them together and puts them on her mom's gravesite. One day, she bursts into tears when she finds a different picture there, one she did not draw.
Losing a parent is never that easy, let alone getting over it. And if a little child has just lost their parent, you can probably imagine how heavy and tormented they would feel.
One little girl, six-year-old Tina, had to deal with the fact that her mother would not be around to see her grow up. Along with her dad, Tyler, she would visit her mom Annette's gravesite almost every other day to mourn her, leaving pictures she'd drawn of them together.
But one such visit brought both Tyler and Tina to tears when an unfamiliar portrait appeared from among Tina's drawings. She knew that it was not a portrait she drew...

When Tyler and Tina lost the woman they loved, their world came to a standstill. They missed Annette so much and yearned to have her back in their lives.
Tina still remembered that fateful day she was waiting in school for her mom to pick her up. An hour later, her dad came for her with a piece of shocking news. Her mother met with an accident on the way to school. He took her to the hospital to bid Annette goodbye, and that was the last time she would ever see her mother again.
"Dad, look, a picture of mom. But I did not draw it...Who drew it?" cried Tina, picking the portrait up.
"Daddy, won't mommy come back to us?" Tina asked Tyler during their recent visit to Annette's grave. "You told me mom is always with us, but why hasn't she come to see me...play with me...and tell me bedtime stories?"
Tina was so heartbroken by her mother's loss. Although she understood death is irreversible, she often wished for a miracle to bring her mother back. Tina knew little her prayers would soon be answered in a way she did not imagine.

"What is it in your hand, darling?" Tyler asked Tina one day on their way to the cemetery.
The girl was shy at first. She had drawn stick figures of her holding her dad and mom's hands against the backdrop of the sun tucked between huge green mountains and with birds across the blue sky.
"They're beautiful!" said Tyler, smiling.
"They are? You like them, daddy? I made them for mommy. Will she like them too?"
Tyler was slowly becoming emotional, ready to tear up, but he held himself together and said, "Of course, your mother will be so happy to see how much you love her. She will be watching us from heaven!"
Her father's words moved Tina. She placed the drawing on Annette's grave and mourned, promising to return with a beautiful portrait of her mother.
And so, Tina engaged in some serious artwork at home and started drawing her mom's portrait. Two days later, she accompanied her dad to the cemetery again.

"What is it, darling? You look sad...is everything alright?" Tyler was concerned. He knew something was bothering Tina.
"I drew this picture of mom, but it did not come out well," she sobbed, showing him a portrait of Annette. "It got smudged, and the eyes are different. Mom's nose is bigger than it actually is, and the lips are funny and crooked."
Tyler's heart melted. "Darling, your love is what matters to your mother. She will be delighted to know you're doing so much for her. This is beautiful."
But Tina was not convinced. She took a marker and wrote, "Mommy, please forgive me. I tried drawing you, but this is all I could do." She placed the portrait on Annette's grave before leaving for home in tears.
The next day, they returned to the cemetery and were surprised to find a beautiful portrait of Annette among the other drawings Tina left there.
"Dad, look! It's a portrait of mom. But I did not draw it. It's so beautiful. Who drew it?" cried Tina, picking the portrait up. "I hope I managed to convey your mother's beauty," was written on the righthand corner of the picture.

Curious, Tina looked around and saw a woman standing in front of another grave. She took the drawing and approached the woman, only to see several drawings of a man and a little boy on the grave near where the woman stood.
"Hey there, darling! Do you like the picture?" the woman asked, puzzling Tina.
"How do you know my mommy?"
"I'm Samantha...and what's your name?"
"My name is Tina," the girl said, wondering who the woman was.
"I've seen you quite often here with drawings. I later understood those were for your mom. I'm sorry, but I copied your idea and started bringing drawings of my late husband and son to their graves," said Samantha.
It turned out that the previous day, the woman noticed Tina was upset about the portrait she drew. Samantha was a professional artist, and after Tina left with her daddy, she took her drawing and carefully observed the details. She took note of Annette's full name on her tombstone, searched for her profile on social media, and found her photo with Tyler and Tina.
"...And that's how I found out how your mom looked. I'm sorry, I wasn't being nosy! But I just wanted to make you smile and convey your love to your mommy!"
At this point, Tina could not hold back their tears. She threw herself in Samantha's arms, crying her heart out.

"Thank you, thank you so much. I'll never forget your help. You made me happy, and I'm sure mommy will be happy too."
Seeing the little girl cry brought tears to Samantha's eyes too. Tyler joined the emotional moment and cried along.
"Thank you so much for making my girl happy. I've never seen her excited about something after a long time since her mother's death."
"Can you teach me how to draw like you?" Tina asked Samantha, adding more shades of joy to Tyler's eyes. He had been struggling to find a way to relieve his daughter's pain, and it seemed like Tina had finally found a reason to smile.
Eventually, Tina and Samantha began to spend a lot of time together, during which Samantha taught Tina how to draw portraits. Tyler was grateful to Samantha for helping his daughter with her grief. And soon, their love for Tina drew them closer. They started dating and married shortly after, committed to raising Tina together.
Ultimately, Tina's happiness was restored, and although she did not get her birth mother back, she found a loving mother in the end.
