Little information is available about how Debbie Depp conducts her personal life, but there are some known facts about her, other than her relation to her celebrity sibling. She leads a quiet life in her home state and has built a family of her own.

Debbie was born in her mother's previous marriage with her older brother, Daniel. After that marriage ended, her mom found a new love in Kentucky, and both Debbie and Daniel took their stepfather's last name. Once the rest of her siblings were born, they all moved to South Florida.

Debbie Depp Is Johnny Depp's Half-Sister

Johnny Depp's half-sister, Debbie Depp, was reportedly born in Kentucky on May 10, 1956, to the late Betty Sue Palmer and Bob Palmer. Her older brother Daniel Depp came before her, born to a 17 or 18-year-old Betty Sue on November 14, 1953.

Debbie's other sibling is actress and burlesque dancer Dannielle Palmer. Eventually, Betty Sue and Bob's marriage ended, and she moved on. Debbie's mother, who worked as a waitress, met her second ex-husband, civil engineer John Christopher Depp, in her home state, and the pair eventually married.

They welcomed two more of Debbie's younger half-siblings, Elisa Christine, in 1960 and John Christopher Depp II, in 1963. Debbie and all her siblings took her stepfather's last name, and the family moved to South Florida, where Betty Sue and John Christopher raised their kids.

Debbie Depp's Mother Was Aggressive with Her Children

Debbie Depp's parents had polar opposite personalities as her stepfather, John Christopher Depp, was a calm, reserved gentleman. On the other hand, Betty Sue was argumentative, impulsive, and abusive. As Johnny Depp described during his testimony, the Depp family moved around numerous times during childhood.

The actor said Betty Sue's "feet were on fire" as she constantly uprooted them from home to home, even after settling in South Florida. Moreover, Johnny added that Betty Sue was unpredictable and violent and stated that she physically and verbally abused him, Debbie, and the other siblings.

Eventually, the actor developed a coping mechanism where he would brace himself for an unprecedented potential blow whenever he passed by her. Johnny added that he and his siblings had no choice but to endure the pain brought by their mother's cruelty. For Johnny, the psychological and emotional abuse tore them apart the most.

Debbie Depp Stays Away from the Spotlight

Unlike her siblings, Debbie Depp was never affiliated with Hollywood. Her older brother, Daniel Depp, became a writer and a producer who wrote the script for a movie titled "The Brave," which his only half-brother starred in and directed, per Hollywood Life.

However, Daniel was a writer and teacher long before dipping his toes in Hollywood. He is an established author who has worked as a bookseller, teacher, and journalist, and Johnny is his biggest fan. Elisa Christine Depp, more famously known as Christi Dembrowski, was Johnny's manager in some of his films.

She also holds producer credits for films such as "The Rum Diary" and "Mortdecai." On the other hand, Debbie is a substitute teacher based in Kentucky, per Meaw. She married Richard Rassel, with whom she shares one son, William Rassel. Debbie has no verified social media handles.

William, a recording engineer, was born in 1980 and tied the knot with Heather L Rassel. Debbie Depp was set to testify against her brother, Johnny Depp. Although she appeared on the witness list for the actor's defamation trial against his ex-wife, Amber Heard, it remains unclear if she indeed testified.
