Fan-favorite Loretta Lynn's passing sent shockwaves worldwide. Days before she took her last breath, the starlet shared meaningful words with her beloved fans, which left them gutted.

Country singer Loretta Lynn died at age 90. According to a statement shared by her family to the Associated Press, she died "peacefully" at her home.

"Our precious mom, Loretta Lynn, passed away peacefully this morning, October 4, in her sleep at home in her beloved ranch in Hurricane Mills," the family revealed in a statement.

The family matriarch was surrounded by her loved ones when she passed. They asked for privacy to grieve for her death and announced they would reveal memorial details at a later stage.

Lynn became a wife and a mother at a very young age. In her 2002 book "Still Woman Enough," she penned that that kind of pressure robbed her of something.

The songwriter explained that she endured hardships that helped shape her into the woman she eventually became years later:

"Having to grow up as fast as I did when I got married took something away from me. But it also gave me something, a hard-won strength."

In addition to being a family woman, the mother of six had a thriving musical career. She gained die-hard fans along the way, whom she adored and usually thanked for their overwhelming love.

Loretta's Final Words to Her Beloved Fans Left Them Shattered

Lynn's final words to her fans in her last post before she died shattered them and made them weep. The "Fist City" hitmaker loved her admirers and even shared posts with them to say thank you in her profile.

Once they learned about her death, they flooded her Instagram account to pay their respects. One of her fans expressed disbelief over the heartbreaking news.

"Noo! Noo! God, why! Why her? Ms. Loretta! Love you! Thank you for the beautiful light you gave. I will take your grace forever and share it. You were and always be the blessing, sending love to the family and friends," the fan commented.

Another expressed well wishes to the Hollywood star's family, "RIP Loretta, prayers to you." A third Instagram user noted that Lynn was a prime example of grace: "Rest with Jesus! You were a shining example of light!"

"RIP Queen," wrote another alongside a string of crying faces and broken-heart emojis. One person noted that Lynn would be "dearly" missed.

"So sorry to hear of Loretta's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with her family, friends, and her millions of fans who will miss her dearly," penned the social media user.

"We loved you," said another while the next person commented that because she was a "light," it now became "darker" with her no more. "Loretta was our light. It's much darker tonight."

Per Country Living, two days before her death, Lynn posted a moving Bible verse on her Instagram page (which was not unusual on her social media accounts) for her fans.

"Everyone who does evil hates the light and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God. John 3:20-21," the music superstar wrote.

Per The Sun, the three-time Grammy Award winner regularly shared updates of her life with fans on Facebook, including images from her ranch, performances, and throwback photos from her successful career.

Per Taste of Country, in the weeks leading up to the Kentucky native's death, she celebrated family achievements on social media, including throwback images of her and fellow country music stars.

Fellow Country Music Stars Pay Homage to Loretta

Some of Lynn's celebrity friends, such as Dolly Parton, paid tributes to mourn her passing on social media. Per Al.com., they reminisced and posted pictures with the star.

Parton penned on Twitter: "So sorry to hear about my sister, friend, Loretta." The Tennesse native shared that she and Lynn had "been like sisters" over the years while living in Nashville.

She added that the now-late star "was a wonderful human being" who had incredible talent, "had millions of fans, and I'm one of them," and that she, like everyone else, would "miss" her deeply.

Country songstress Carrie Underwood revealed on Twitter that the first time she crossed paths with Lynn was at the start of her musical career at the Grand Ole Opry.

She was talking to another artist in a "corner" when someone crept behind her and "smacked me on the rear end." Once she turned around, she saw that it was Lynn.

Meanwhile, singer and record producer, Tim McGraw, said that she was a unique individual who opened doors for fellow women in the country music genre and was a "role model" for a lot of "young women," including his "wife and daughters."

John Rich wrote that Loretta was an authentic "American artist." She never changed her roughness but instead used her lyrics to "put a magnifying glass" on everything and anything imperfect about her life. He added the brunette beauty was "an inspiration to millions and the perfect embodiment of the American Dream."

Actress Sissy Spacek, who portrayed Loretta in the 1980 movie, "Coal Miner's Daughter," and won an Oscar Award for the role, told CNN in a statement that she was left gutted over the passing of Loretta.

The Academy Award winner said "the world lost" a terrific "human being." Spacek added Lynn "was a great artist, a strong, resilient country music pioneer, and a precious friend. I am heartbroken."

Singer Martina McBride posted on her Instagram that Loretta was greatly loved and no one could take her place. The singer-songwriter said she was honored to have known the celebrated country star, adding she always left her stunned when she called her a friend of hers.
