It's been nearly thirty years since the NSYNC members burst onto the Hollywood scene and became one of the most popular boy bands. And after announcing their hiatus, they never publicly broke up but have gone their separate ways.

In 1995, Justin Timberlake, JC Chasez, Chris Kirkpatrick, Joey Fatone, and Lance Bass formed their musical group NSYNC in Orlando, Florida. Since then, they released hit after hit, including "Bye Bye Bye," "This I Promise You," and "Girlfriend."

Their tracks reached top 10 status on international music charts, and their music earned multiple Grammy nominations. But their rise to success was not always picture-perfect.

NSYNC's fallout with their former manager Lou Pearlman and former record label Bertelsmann Music Group was highly publicized, and in 2002, NSYNC announced its hiatus. They did not record any music since 2002, and in 2007, Bass confirmed the group had broken up.

Justin Timberlake

Timberlake was born on January 31, 1981, in Memphis, Tennessee. After NSYNC's breakup, Timberlake became the most successful with a solo singing and acting career. He collaborated with producer Timbaland for his highly acclaimed studio album "FutureSex/LoveSounds."

His solo musical career rose as he worked with other big names, such as Jay-Z. In 2013, he released "The 20/20 Experience," and the album became the highest-selling album of the year, with over two million copies sold.

He made waves in the film industry as well; he made his acting debut in 2005 in "Edison" and worked on an array of projects over the years, such as "The Social Network" in 2010 and "Friends with Benefits" in 2011.

During the early 2000s, he ended his public relationship with fellow superstar Britney Spears and later married actress Jessica Biel. In March 2021, he celebrated Biel's birthday and said:

"I'm so lucky to learn from you and laugh with you and celebrate you every day."

He also took to Instagram to celebrate Father's Day and shared glimpses of his children. Timberlake shared that fatherhood was better than he ever could have imagined.

JC Chasez

Chasez was born on August 8, 1976, in Bowie, Maryland. He met Timberlake while filming for "The All-New Mickey Mouse Club" in 1989, but after the show was canceled, they began working on songs together.

Chasez and Timberlake were interested in creating a musical group, and over time, NSYNC formed. After the boy band split, Chasez pursued a solo musical career and released his first album in 2004 with Jive Records.

However, his musical career was not as successful as Timberlake's, and it was the only album he released at the time of writing. Chasez and Jive Records parted ways in 2007 after a dispute about a potential second album release, and Chasez opted for writing for fellow artists instead.

He collaborated with AJ McLean for his 2011 debut album, "Have It All," and he worked with other musicians such as Taemin and Ariana Grande. In an Instagram post, Chasez thanked Grande and said:

"Thank you for giving me a moment I will never forget. It was better than a dream because you are real."

Chris Kirkpatrick

Kirkpatrick was born on October 17, 1971, in Clarion, Pennsylvania. After NSYNC ended, Kirkpatrick started his band, Nigel's 11. The alt-rock band had a different sound from what his fans knew him for, and the band independently released their debut album, "Clandestine Operation," in 2010.

Outside of singing, Kirkpatrick appeared in a handful of TV shows. He made cameos in films such as "Sharknado 3," and he lent his voice for voice acting in Nickelodeon's "The Fairly Odd Parents." Kirkpatrick has been married to Karly Skladany since November 2013, and in June, they enjoyed a family trip to Discovery Cove with their son, Nash.

Joey Fatone

Fatone was born on January 28, 1977, in Brooklyn, New York. He met Kirkpatrick while working at Universal Studios after he graduated high school and became friends with Chasez. They met Timberlake at a nightclub, and after the addition of Bass, NSYNC was born.

After the end of the NSYNC era, Fatone was one of the band members who enjoyed a quiet life. He hosted a few television series, such as NBC's "The Singing Bee," "Family Feud" from 2010 until 2016, and Food Network's "Rewrapped" in 2014. In 2021, Fatone said about hosting:

"I miss being on set. We learn something new every day."

He had been in a long-term relationship with Kelly Baldwin, and after welcoming their first daughter, Briahna, in 2001, they married in 2004. In 2010, they added their second daughter, Kloey, to their family.

Baldwin and Fatone went their separate ways, and the former NSYNC member celebrated Christmas in 2019 with his daughters and his new partner, Izabel Araujo.

Lance Bass

After NSYNC ended, Bass became a man of many trades as a singer, producer, actor, writer, and more. In 2007, he played Corny Collins in "Hairspray" on Broadway.

He published a memoir, "Out of Sync," and made his way to the finals of "Dancing With The Stars" in 2005. He created an entertainment company, Egg and Bacon, which produced his first film, "On The Line," in 2001.

In 2006, Bass publicly emerged as gay and had been a loud voice for the LGBTQ community. He married his partner, Michael Turchin, in 2014 at a Los Angeles wedding and Bass and Turchin are proud parents to their children.

Over the years, some former band members have hinted at an NYSNC reunion years after their hiatus. They've made appearances together, including their surprise appearance on "The Ellen Show" and at Bingo Under the Stars in Los Angeles with the Backstreet Boys.
