Henry Cavill is one of five handsome square-jawed brothers. He spent his youth rough-housing with his towering siblings and has a close relationship with most of them, as seen on social media. The older three brothers keep a low profile.

The Cavill family has long been involved with the military. Father Colin was a navy man, and his two sons served in the British army. On the creative side, the youngest son produced a film about a British commando, to which Henry Cavill was briefly attached.

The family has strong ties to the children's place of birth, Jersey, in the Channel Islands. The oldest brother heads a company on the island, and the Hollywood actor often returns to take part in an annual charity run with a selection of his tall brothers.

Henry Cavill's Childhood with Four Brothers

Henry is the fourth son of Marianne and Colin Richard Cavill and was raised in Jersey and UK territory off the coast of France. Henry told Kelly Ripa that his mother is amazing and raised her boys "strong and tough, but with a lot of love." He said of his siblings:

"Amazingly, none of us gave each other stitches. But I am the only one who did not come close to death at some stage as a child."

"The Witcher" actor illustrated his "rough and tumbled" childhood on "The Graham Norton Show," with an anecdote of his father returning from work to find the wallpaper had changed. His mom explained it was not a style decision; it was easier to clean the blood off it.

The Oldest Brother Piers Cavill

Piers Cavill obtained a BA (Hons) degree in Business Decision Analysis at the University of the West of England in 1996 and has a Master's in Wealth Management. He served as an officer in the British army for nearly a decade after graduating from university.

Piers is the eldest Cavill brother. After holding various senior positions in the finance and online gambling industries, he now serves as the director of "Jersey Laser Scanning Limited," based in Jersey, UK . Henry told Kimmel:

"The eldest gets the toughest game. They get all the discipline. By the time it gets to us, it's all just a free for all."

Simon Cavill Is Very Private

The "Man of Steel" actor described his four-year-old older brother, Simon, as "considerably larger and stronger" than him in a Jimmy Kimmel interview. He quipped that the brothers called out "Hulk smash" when Simon got heated as a child.

In tribute to Queen Elizabeth II's death, Charlie gave a tutorial on her favorite drink, "The Queen's Cocktail."

Simon has a career in finance and reportedly married his wife, Victoria, in 2014. He is the only Cavill brother who has not appeared on the red carpet with the actor.

Lt Col. Nik Cavill "Doesn't Need a Cape"

Lieutenant Colonel Nik Cavill MBE leads the 30 Commando IX Group in the British Army. Per the BBC, the "courageous field soldier" completed a tour in Afghanistan and was awarded a Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE). An insider told The Sun:

"They may not boast the most potent superpowers in the universe, but Lt Col Nik and his troops are real-life Men of Steel. In the real world, there's no one better for the job of operating behind enemy lines than the Royal Marines. These guys don't need capes."

Lt Col Nik and his partner participate in the "Durrell Challenge" with Henry every year and are occasionally joined by youngest brother Charlie. The annual 13km (8,08 mile) run takes place in Jersey in aid of "Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust."

The Producer, the Actor, the Candlestick Maker

The youngest Cavill brother is Charlie, a 6 foot 3 former actor, producer, and businessman. The baby of the family was born on April 20, 1985. He is the father of four, a teenage daughter, and three younger boys.

He left the entertainment industry after 11 years to start Cavill & Wicks, a sustainable candle company based in Calgary, Canada, with his wife, Heather. The company donates a dollar for every candle sold to charity. The actor's favorite candle is "Grapefruit and English Pine."

The cocktail connoisseur shares his passion on social media and hosts live classes. In tribute to Queen Elizabeth II's death, Charlie gave a tutorial on her favorite drink, "The Queen's Cocktail." He said on Instagram that he is "proud to be a citizen of 2 countries that have called her our Queen."

The Cavill Brothers, as Adults

As a producer, Charlie is best known for the 2017's "Stratton," about a British Special Boat Service commando starring Dominic Cooper and Gemma Chan. Per IMBd, Henry Cavill was set to star in the action flick but dropped a week before filming due to "creative differences."

The action flick seems to be the only professional collaboration between siblings. The family, sans Simon, walked the red carpet of the world premiere of "Man of Steel" on June 10, 2013, in New York City.

The famous actor respects his siblings' privacy, who are not in the public eye. When he does post about one of them on social media, it is with the highest esteem, like the post on Armed Forces day in 2020, where he praised his Royal Marine brother Nik as a "total legend."

Simon's reluctance to attend his brother's public events might stem from a breach in security in 2014 when pictures of his wedding to Victoria went viral due to the actor's raised profile playing "Superman."
