Mom Dies in Her Home with 3-Year-Old Daughter Present – Her Other Kid Passed 2 Years Before

A well-loved teacher had a heart of gold that was evident in her workplace and home. She adored her daughter and wanted the world for her, unaware that their time together would be cut short unexpectedly and unfairly.

Mom Krystle Wilder, affectionately called LeeAnn, set an excellent example for the children around her. Whether at work teaching or at home with her three-year-old daughter, LeeAnn exuded love and kindness.

The mother from Little Rock, Arkansas, faced tragedy two years prior after the passing of one of her kids, Gabriella Hatfield. She was on the road to healing and looked forward to watching her remaining daughter's bright future unfold. Sadly, it was not meant to be.

She Was a Genuine Soul

Everyone who knew LeeAnn sang her praises. She was known for always putting others before herself, and her loved ones stated that "she had big dreams for her daughter." The teacher's sister, Macey Wilder, added:

"She loves the kids. She connected with all of them and we've had so many parents reach out to us and say she has made such an impact on our children's lives."

Another loved one, Jessica Nichole, described the mother as a "genuine soul" who could light up a room. Nobody imagined violence would infiltrate the family's home in the early morning hours of October 17, 2022.

The Shocking Incident

The mother and her daughter, Amani, lived at the Benton apartment complex and, like many people, assumed they were safe at home. However, this was not the case for them.

Suspect Demontra Hatfield allegedly shot LeeAnn. Police confirmed that Demontra was the little girl's father. Amani sustained injuries during the horrific ordeal but survived—tragically, her mom passed away.

The ordeal was undoubtedly traumatic for LeeAnn's little girl. She lived through an experience no child should endure, and we hope she finds the strength to continue.

A neighbor exclaimed that they were terrified after seeing a swarm of police in their apartment complex. They added that authorities were still busy working at the crime scene, and the investigation was still ongoing.

Family and Friends Were Devastated

Jessica was heartbroken after the passing of LeeAnn and struggled to come to terms with the devastating loss. She wrote:

"You deserved so much more, you deserved the world. I'll always cherish all the memories and moments we shared. This isn't fair at all, I hate it all. I love you so much my little Ann."

LeeAnn's brother, Andrew Wilder, expressed his pain and anger that his sister was taken so cruelly. Amid the heartbreak, he shared a touching sentiment: "It is a tragedy, but her spirit was so bright that it shines brighter than this tragedy."

Support for the Grieving Family

A GoFundMe page was created to support LeeAnn's family, specifically her beloved daughter. Amani was left without the loving mother she adored and needed all the assistance she could get.

By October 21, more than $5,800 had been donated. On the fundraising page, loved one Kayla Oglesby wrote:

"We want to help give what we can to honor [LeeAnn's] wishes. We hope that we can return some portion of the love that LeeAnn showed everyone she met."

The ordeal was undoubtedly traumatic for LeeAnn's little girl. She lived through an experience no child should endure, and we hope she finds the strength to continue.

LeeAnn will never see her little girl grow into a young woman, but at least she is reunited with her daughter Gabriella, whom she lost in 2020. RIP, brave mother.
