Christine Brown's Children: Her 5 Daughters and Son with Ex Kody Brown
Toward the end of last year, former polygamist and "Sister Wives" alum Christine Brown announced her exit from her marriage with Kody Brown. Christine and Kody promised to co-parent their six children in their separate statements.
After growing up in a polygamist family, Christine Brown joined Kody's polygamist union in 1994. The couple immediately began expanding their family afterward, starting with Aspyn, then Mykelti, Paedon, Gwendlyn, Ysabel, and Truely.
Following the dissolution of her marriage, Christine renounced her polygamist status and now identifies as a monogamist. Her relationship with her ex-husband, Kody, had progressively strained in the last few years of their "spiritual marriage."
As the third wife, following Janelle and Meri, Christine felt she wasn't as important. Kody seemed to prioritize his relationship with his fourth wife, Robyn. Moreover, Kody once insinuated that he felt pressured to marry Christine, which she found upsetting.
Since she decided to leave, Christine moved back to her native state, Utah, closer to her eldest daughters. She has dedicated plenty of time to bonding with her children and grandchildren. Her son, Paedon, noticed a particular glow in her, saying that she's "happier."
Paedon suggested that perhaps more of his siblings would move closer together in Utah. Besides the youngest of Christine's brood, her children have all grown up and independently led their own lives.
Aspyn Brown
The eldest daughter of Kody Brown's children and Christine Brown's firstborn, Aspyn Brown, drew her first breath on March 14, 1995. Aspyn grew up in Lehi, Utah. She enrolled at the University of Nevada, where she studied Human Service, focusing on Marriage and Family Counseling.
Aspyn was part of a sorority in college and took a job as a retail sales assistant at Alex and Ani. She graduated in 2019 and began working as the Kendra Scott store manager in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Although she was born into a polygamist marriage, Aspyn has been in a loving monogamist relationship with Mitch Thompson. She first crushed on him when they met as children in church. They started dating while in college and married on June 17, 2018.
Aspyn's husband was also born into a polygamous family but opted for monogamy. She broke away from the reality TV scene and has since lived her life privately. She's also active on Instagram, going by "mrsthompson61718," but her account is private.
Mykelti Brown
Mykelti Brown is Christine Brown's secondborn, drawing her first breath in June 1996. The 26-year-old is a fashion consultant for LuLaRoe and runs a boutique called Mykeltis Whimsical Boutique, based in Lehi, Utah.
Like her older sister, Aspyn, Mykelti seems to have opted for monogamy, marrying Antonio Padron. The couple held their wedding on December 17, 2016, at Bloomington Country Club in St. George, Utah.
Mykelti and Antonio welcomed their first baby, Avalon, on April 5, 2021. Earlier this year, in June, the couple announced that they were expanding their family with two more babies on the way. According to People, Christine shared her excitement for the twins' pending arrival, saying:
"I'm so excited, they're going to be such great parents. I know they're a bit overwhelmed because it's twins, it's a lot of work, but I live close, Aspyn lives close."
Christine added that despite the work it would take to raise two more kids, Mykelti and Antonio had a great support system. Mykelti also has an active presence on Instagram, with a verified account and 293K followers at the time of publication.
She frequently posts snaps of her family, adventures, gatherings, and selfies with Avalon. On August 16, Mykelti and her husband revealed that they were expecting twin boys alongside an adorable family photo.
Paedon Brown
Christine's thirdborn, Paedon Rex Brown, took his first breath on August 7, 1998. According to his Instagram bio, the 24-year-old lives his life to the fullest and the best of his abilities. In May 2019, Paedon posed with his parents in the US Army uniform and indicated that he was an "American soldier."
Us Weekly reported that he's now a construction worker. The outlet also wrote about Paedon's strained relationship with his dad. Paedon expressed his frustration about Kody, who was sometimes "the best" and sometimes "the worst."
Paedon's dad has stronger bonds with his siblings, and he's learned to live with that, especially since he doesn't live with or near his family compound. Like his siblings, Paedon supported his mom's decision to leave Kody and agreed it was for the best.
Ysabel Brown
Ysabel Page Brown was born on March 7, 2003, and she's a senior in high school. She runs a personal blog on Instagram, regularly posting about her outings with friends and family.
Following the announcement of her parents getting divorced, Ysabel expressed that the news saddened her. Still, she did see it coming, adding that things don't always work out between lovers. However, she was glad that her mom, Christine, had the chance to find someone who would make her happy.
Gwendlyn Brown
Gwendlyn Brown recently celebrated her 21st birthday. She was born on October 16, 2001. Like her elder siblings, she has an Instagram page where she consistently shares photos of her family and solo adventures.
It's reportedly likely that she currently resides in Flagstaff, Arizona, where she's pursuing her tertiary education. The outlet also reported that Gwendlyn came out as bisexual to her family, and her mom's been supportive. She's currently in a relationship with an unidentified lady, and they live together with their dog Noel.
Truely Brown
Kody and Christine Brown's last born, Truely, was born on April 13, 2010. Truely's had some medical scares as a toddler. She was admitted to the hospital after suffering dehydration and acute kidney failure in 2014. The doctors doubted Truely would survive, but she did.
She returned home a little over a week later. As her parents deal with their divorce, their custody of Truely has been a contentious topic. Christine revealed that she was moving with Truely to Utah on an episode of "Sister Wives," but Kody contested.
The former couple has yet to decide how they would split their custody of Truely, with Kody insisting they would go "50/50." He didn't like the idea of not being a part of Truely's life. However, it seems Christine has made up her mind about taking Truely with her.
