Sharon Stone Had a Brain Hemorrhage: How Did She Survive It?
Her recent medical troubles will not be the first time "The Specialist" actress has dealt with health issues. Speaking with Today's Willie Geist, Stone recalled an instance decades ago when she experienced a cerebral hemorrhage that lasted nine days following a stroke.

She remembers calling her mom and telling her to get to the hospital as fast as possible. Asked what she felt at that moment, Stone revealed that the room was quiet and that, to her, was a sign that everything was wrong.
She explained that when the room goes as silent as hers was, it could only mean that no one was rushing to fix her, and that only meant things were pretty severe, and she was very close to death.
Luckily, the actress recovered. Sadly, as if to add salt to injury, Stone's career suffered while she was in recovery, and it took her a long time to get back on her feet.
However, she chooses to look at her experience as a lesson. Today, she enjoys life to the fullest and loves spending quality time with her sons because "what's better than that?"
Sharon Stone Is the Mother of 3 Sons: Who Are They?
One of the perks of Stone's recovery is that she learned what was important in life. She is more grateful for what she refers to as her "second life" and says she is happier spending time with the people who matter — her sons Roan, Laird, and Quinn.
During her acceptance speech for the Mother of the Year Award in 2017, Stone disclosed that while motherhood did not come easy for her, it came lovingly. She said they were a happy and lucky family, noting that she and her boys will always say yes to love.
The love between mother and sons is mutual, and the boys refer to her as a great, caring, and loving person. Roan said his mother had taught him valuable life lessons, including treating people as you'd like them to treat you.
She adopted her sons Roan Joseph in 2000, Laird Vonne in 2005, and Quinn Kelly in 2006, respectively, and her home has never been the same. She shared: "I have more love, help, friendship, and kindness than at any other time in my life."
