Mohr and Cox can be considered a celebrity couple as they are both active in the film and television industries. Mohr is known for his contributions to the hit TV Show "Saturday Night Live," where he did, among other things, impersonations of famous people. Arguably, Cox's most notable appearance was in "Unhappily Ever After."

The coming together of the two film stars seemed to bring a breath of fresh air to Mohr, who had just gone through a divorce from his wife of six years. Cox was also not lucky in her love life, as her engagement to Bobcat Goldthwait never led to the altar. Still, their marriage faced difficulties which ultimately led to divorce.

Jay Mohr and Nikki Cox can be described as being unlucky in love. They had both suffered heartbreak when their previous relationships ended. Cox was previously engaged to another comedian, Bobcat Goldthwait.

On the other hand, Mohr had just seen his marriage to model-cum-actress, Nicole Chamberlain, reach an unfortunate end in 2004 after they had married in 1998. That union produced Mohr's oldest child, Jackson.

Still, in 2004, Mohr met Cox after he made a guest appearance in "Las Vegas," a series in which Cox was starring. They dated for over a year before tying the knot on December 29, 2006. The couple fell wildly in love to the extent that Mohr applied to legally include Cox in his name, making him Jon Ferguson Cox Mohr.

Within that same month, the comedian had a change of heart and decided to withdraw the divorce application. Mohr noted that he and Cox were still married and in love.

Nevertheless, their reunion lasted less than half a year as Mohr filed for divorce again on December 13. This time, it proved to be the real deal as their divorce was finalized two years later, in 2018—the main reason for the divorce applications surrounded Cox's alleged excessive use of drugs.
