Matthew Goode and his wife, Sophie Dymoke, have done a marvelous job keeping their family off the internet. However, the energetic English actor cannot help but spill a few details about his missus ever so often.

Sophie Dymoke's initial meeting with her future husband was like a scene from a romcom most studios would be ecstatic to cast Matthew Goode in. Only the actor was coming off an actual film shoot and was too drained to lean into the adorable meet cute.

The mother of three supports her husband's career by posing beside him at premiers for high-profile projects like "Downton Abby," but do not expect to see a tabloid spread of their London-based family of five.

In elementary school, Dymoke had already dismissed one of her early passions, acting, when he realized it was not her forte and briefly turned to modeling. She was raised in Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent, by a teacher mum and a manufacturing worker dad.

While obtaining her economics degree at the University of Wales, she was building her fashion career at Donna Karan. Upon graduation, she relocated to New York City, where she climbed the corporate ladder to become a sales manager at Alice + Olivia.

Diesel headhunted the Brit, but differences with management had her jump ship for a successful tenure as a sales director of the luxury brand Vince. As of 2012, she holds the position of Sale Director at the London-based M.i.h Jeans.

When Goode first encountered Dymoke on his front steps, she was locked out of her best friend Emily and his neighbor's apartment. The actor recalls that he was exhausted from a shoot abroad though opened the door for her and carried her bag upstairs. Her recollection, however, differed, as she said he shrugged wordlessly and opened the door.

The two connected at Emily's wedding, and the Englishman dryly notes their relationship "lasted longer than that marriage." Playing up the English self-deprecation trope in a US newspaper, he quipped:

"My girlfriend, who is English, was living in New York, and I convinced her to move back. I think she was waiting for me to become a man, which I hope I have. But Englishmen never really grow up, I think.”

Goode proved himself wrong by becoming the very definition of a modern grown man for the mother of his children. While in between acting gigs, he takes Dymoke to the station and cares for their babies.

The couple's firstborn, Matilda Eve Goode, came into their lives in 2009. Little Matilda became a big sister to Teddie Eleanor Rose Goode, in 2013 and Ralph Goode, in 2015. The pair indulges in separate hobbies outside of parenting, he fishes while she takes up riding.

While the exact dates are murky, the couple is believed to have met in 2005 and wed in 2014. The couple has made their home base in London as they work in the international fashion and entertainment industries.

Outside of her work responsibilities and mother duties, the fashionista donates her time and money to organizations, like The Red Cross, that focus on children and the elderly.

The dashing leading man Goode maintains that he considers Dymoke and their young family when taking roles. His ideal situation would be a war flick filmed in England, with a cast full of men he can go to the pub with after hours. In other words, films with no sex scenes.

The family man revealed that when he received the offer as the antagonist in "The Imitation Game" by phone directly from its star Benedict Cumberbatch. The dad of three had to cut the ring short because he was busy unloading the kids from an outing and had to feed them.
