In 2018, the businesswoman filed for divorce from her famous husband. In the documents, the separation was termed "TBD." Padilla cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the divorce.

No party was willing to bend over, but pending their agreement, the ruling favored her.

A year later, she levied some accusations against her estranged husband, alleging that he failed to fulfill their prenuptial agreement. According to the paperwork obtained by The Blast, Padilla requested a combination of two proposed trials.

One involves the validity of their prenup and the other on the distribution of the assets. On the other hand, her former partner had asked the judge to settle the cases differently, treating them as two, not one trial.

Garnett's ex-wife explained that the prenup guaranteed she received $500,000 or $1 million as an initial payment, while the NBA legent maintained ownership of almost everything.

Another term from the prenup agreement stated that her former husband was expected to fund a joint account with an estimated worth of $12 million. Following their separation, half of the money would be given to her.

However, Garnett failed to fund the account, leading her to believe he had breached their arrangement. In the same document, Padilla was not to be awarded spousal support.

The businesswoman accused the basketball pro of hoarding funds that they should have shared. According to her, Garnett made millions after their separation.

They had filed amended tax returns, leading to a payout of $11 million, but the money remained with the sports legend, who believed it was his alone.

He also made some investment sales of about $5 million. He allegedly settled a rift with his former business manager, Charles Banks, who was accused of stealing $77 million from the NBA star.

Brandi Padilla Demanded Millions in Annual Child & Spousal Support

Apart from the accusations against Garnett for breach of agreement, Padilla made some new demands. This time, she requested $146,000 monthly for spousal support and $46k for child support—the girls mostly lived with her.

She also wanted $300,000 to settle attorney fees involving the divorce proceedings and future costs to discuss a final agreement. Additionally, Garnett's ex-wife expected $25,000 for counsel retainment in a separate legal matter— about the alleged swindling from Banks.
