Avielle Janelle Hernandez Grew up to Be a Talented Dancer after Watching Her Dad Get Jailed - Where Is Aaron Hernandez's Daughter Now?
After watching her late father spend his life behind bars, Avielle Janelle Hernandez is now a talented dancer who enrolled in Cheryl's School of Dance in Rhode Island.
Avielle is the famous daughter of the late American footballer Josep Aaron Hernandez. She recently celebrated her 10th birthday with an adorable theme party with her friends. Her mom Shayanna Jenkins shared photos of Avielle's big day on her Instagram page.
Avielle, born on November 6, 2012, the same day her father turned 23, learned to be strong at a pretty young age. This was after she sat in the courtroom and watched her father get sentenced to prison.
Avielle Janelle Hernadez Had No Idea That Her Dad Was in Jail
Avielle was only 4 when she sat in the courthouse crying on her mother's lap, watching her father sentenced to life imprisonment. Before the court ruling, Josep was seen blowing kisses to his young daughter, who was seated next to her mother.
Avielle and her younger sister seem to have a great bond, as seen in photos posted by their mom.
According to reports, Avielle's father was found guilty of the murder of Odin Lloyd before being sentenced to prison. Days after the sentencing, Josep was found dead in his jail cell; reports indicate that he took his own life.
According to Avielle's mother, her daughter had no idea about her father's incarceration at the time. Her mother used to tell her that her father was just at "work," and that was her normal back then:
"She thought daddy was at work. That's how we kept it. She knows nothing about jail, prison, or any of that stuff. I try to keep her in a whole positive direction."
When asked if she was planning to tell her daughter the truth, Jenkins said she wouldn't tell her unless Avielle asked. Shortly after her father's death, Avielle's name was dragged into a lawsuit filed by her dad's estate against the NFL, seeking $4 million compensation from the league for a posthumous diagnosis of CTE.
However, the judge ruled Avielle missed the deadline for such compensation; thus, the league was no longer entitled to pay her.
Avielle's family lawyer did not favor the ruling as he argued that the 10-year-old had lost a parent for the rest of her life and NFL was responsible for the damages she had because of his CTE. At the time of his death, doctor's discovered that Avielle's father had advanced CTE level that had never been seen in a 27-year-old.
Avielle Janelle Hernadez Bears Her Dad's Likeness While Pursuing Her Passion for Dancing
Avielle has grown up to be a talented dancer and even won several awards. During a competition at her dance school, Avielle won a medal in the national finals. The young girl was pictured holding her award and wearing a black tracksuit and sneakers.
Avielle is active in extra-curriculum activities. During a fashion show event at her school, she walked down the runway wearing a bikini with a maroon scarf tied to her waist and beige boyfriend shoes. Avielle's star is shining at a young age, and she follows in her dad's footsteps.
Avielle Is Taking Good Care of Her Little Sister
Avielle has been living in Rhode Island with her mother, Shayanna Jenkins, who was previously engaged to her father. The upcoming dancer became a big sister when her mom welcomed another baby girl. Sources close to the family confirmed that Avielle's father did not freeze his sperm and isn't the baby's father.
Avielle and her younger sister seem to have a great bond, as seen in photos posted by their mom. The young dancer appears to be a big loving sister as she's often twining with her sibling wearing matching outfits.
Despite the hardships she had to go through as a child, Avielle is happy and enjoying life. She definitely would make her father proud.
