Seth MacFarlane Has Never Been Married and Has Reportedly Dated Famous Women

Many wonder if Seth MacFarlane's wife is also in the entertainment industry. Although he has dated several women, the straight answer to people's curiosity is that the actor is not yet married.

Known in Hollywood as a multi-talented entertainer, Seth MacFarlane is an actor, director, producer, screenwriter, and singer, mainly working behind the scenes.

Born on October 26, 1973, in Kent, Connecticut, MacFarlane came from a family of entertainers, including his sister, a singer and voice actress, Rachel MacFarlane Laudiero.

In 1999, he created the popular sitcom "Family Guy" followed by "The Cleveland Show," "American Dad!" and "The Orville." His on-screen career also flourished in 2012, when MacFarlane directed and starred in the film "Ted."

MacFarlane dated some of the industry's young actresses throughout his busy Hollywood career. However, he has yet to settle down with the woman he would call his wife.

MacFarlane was linked to several women, including co-stars and other celebrities. From the late '90s to the early 2000s, the actor was linked to Nicole Sullivan, Christa Campbell, and Jessica Barth.

In 2007, he dated Kat Foster and Camille Guaty, followed by Amanda Bynes and Eliza Dushku the following year. He had two other romantic relationships in 2009, with Keylee DeFer and Katie Sah.

He dated Trisha Cummings for two years, from 2010 to 2012, then famously got together with "Game of Thrones" star Emilia Clarke afterward. MacFarlane and Clarke first sparked dating rumors after attending the HBO Emmy after-party in 2012.

The actress later confirmed their relationship status and revealed that she did not appreciate strangers giving her dating advice. She said of dating as a public figure:

"Well, a con is you have strangers giving you love life advice, like, 'I'm a big fan of the show, and I'm not sure what you're doing with that guy,' which I didn't react to. That happened in New York when Seth and I were together."

Unfortunately, their love story ended as quickly as it began. By March 2013, MacFarlane and Clarke were no longer a couple but continued their relationship as friends.

According to an insider, each party's busy schedules caused difficulty in their relationship. While Clarke was filming "Game of Thrones" in Europe, MacFarlane built his career in California. Nevertheless, the director had nothing but kind words to describe his ex-girlfriend.

According to The Things, MacFarlane claimed Clarke was "an incredibly kind" and "supremely talented person" in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. He also described her as hard-working amidst fame in Hollywood.

Interestingly, he also once dated "Sister, Sister" star Tamera Mowry. In 2020, MacFarlane shared a photo cozying up to fellow actress Anne Winter, who is also his "Orville" co-star. The photo introduced the actors as an official couple on Instagram.

Seth MacFarlane Once Escaped Death

MacFarlane is not only lucky in his career but also in life. He previously revealed that he could have been one of the victims of the devastating 9/11 tragedy. In an interview, MacFarlane claimed he was supposed to board the plane that crashed into the World Trade Center's south tower.

However, circumstances caused him to miss the flight by ten minutes. Not long after his plane took off, MacFarlane watched the plane crash and burn from the airport lounge. He recalled:

"I was giving a lecture at my college the night before and went out with some of the faculty afterward, and I had a few pints, and my travel agent had listed the flight on my itinerary as leaving ten minutes later than it did."

MacFarlane is undoubtedly lucky to be alive today. Since his second chance at life, he has been working hard to establish his career both behind the scenes and on-screen.
