Barbara Eden Wears Heels, Feels 'Young', Holds Hands with Spouse & Works at 91 — She's Not Slowing Down

Barbara Eden may be in her nineties but still stays active. She was recently pictured with her octagenarian husband and looked as lively as ever. Despite her age, she runs a tight schedule and has said she will keep doing all she can until she no longer can.

Age is just a number. Many believe it, but people like Barabara Eden live it. At 91, she is still very active and has shown no signs of stopping soon.

It is no secret that as celebrities get older, they seek a quiet life away from the buzz of Hollywood, but the reverse is the case for Eden, who seems as active as she has always been. She has kept up public appearances over the years, and her name has remained relevant despite her age.

This month, she made a stunning appearance alongside her 83-year-old husband at the Make-A-Wish Greater LA's Wish Gala 2022, which Gibson Dunn presented at Paramount Studios on November 19, 2022.

If her look from 2019, when the actress turned up at the Paley Honors: A Special Tribute to Television's Comedy Legend, was called glamorous, then this latest look should be called blissful as that was how she looked from head to toe. No wonder her husband and thousands of fans could not stop gawking at her successfully.

For the 2019 event, held at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel in L.A., Eden wore a long blue and black striped dress with mesh sleeves. She complemented the stylish number with a unique black necklace and a matching blue and black pair of earrings.

The talented actress polished the look with a pair of black pumps and a dark blue clutch. She looked beautiful, and if nobody asked, she would have most likely passed as someone under 88.

In her latest public appearance, Eden wore black pants coupled with a long-sleeved top and carried a matching purse. Other visible accessories she used included stylish dangling earrings and a ring.

She recognizes that sometimes, people get forced to take things slower as they age; however, she has pledged to keep moving.

Eden has always been known to look stylish no matter where she is or what she is doing. One year ago, People visited her L.A. home for a tour, and she met them dressed in fashionable clothing and high heels that in no way reduced her mobility as she took them on a tour of her beautiful home.

When the video was shared on Youtube, her appearance pleased her fans, who took to the comments section to express love for how she looks. One fan declared love for her and said she looked "incredible."

Many wonder what goes on in the life of a woman like Eden, and she has been kind enough to leave tips. Another called her "adorable" and praised her for still looking fabulous at 90 before adding that she was a "special soul." One user wrote:

Eden's Unique Lifestyle

These days, Barabara Eden lives most of her life privately with her husband of more than three decades in a charming house equipped with a pool and great views.

At an age when most like her would have retired, Eden still works, and that's not all; she also takes care of her spouse and dog. Outside work and daily chores, Eden has also invested her time and energy into exercising.

In fact, until about four years ago, she regularly visited the gym, attended spin classes, and lifted weights. These days, she has to slow things down by hiring a trainer who goes to her home, where they engage in resistance training and walks around her tennis court.

Besides physical activity, Eden also maintains an active social life filled with many friends and acquaintances. Eden has also stated that she still enjoys her work because she was fortunate enough to pick a job she likes. She said:

"I was very, very lucky to like the job I chose. I feel sorry for people like my poor father, who had to work every day at something he didn't like. I enjoy my work. I still work."

Eden's Views

Despite how old she is, Eden has maintained her youthfulness. This is thanks partly to her healthy life choices but what truly makes this woman feel younger than her age is her mindset. She once said: "I feel young!"

Eden has admitted that she still had a lot of interest in many things, including public appearances. In fact, as of 2021, she already had a public engagement scheduled for March 2022, which she looked forward to. She said about the event:

"If I'm around, I'll be there. I really like it."

Eden, who is best known for playing the titular role in "I Dream of Jeannie," has stated that she has no plans to vanish from the public's eye anytime soon. She recognizes that sometimes, people get forced to take things slower as they age; however, she has pledged to keep moving. She said:

"I'll do what I do until I can't."

Eden is happy with her life and is grateful for the gift of life she can still enjoy with her husband, Jon Eicholtz. He is the third man she has been married to, and they tied the knot in 1991.

Prior to him, she was married to Charles Donald between 1977 and 1982, and before him, she was married to Michael Ansara between 1958 and 1974. The marriage led to the birth of her only son Matthew Ansara who sadly passed away on June 25, 2001, at age 35.
