Morrison is a sports fanatic, something she inherited from her father, a former basketball player. The 34-year-old connected with DeRozan, who played for their campus basketball team, through her love for the sport.

Demar DeRozan's Wife Has Inherited Her Love for the Sport
Kiara Morrison was born on January 18, 1988, and is the wife of Demar DeRozan, a professional basketball player. Her ethnicity is half-Filipino and half-Black.
She inherited her love for the sport from her father, Keith Morrison. Her father played in the Philippine Basketball Association during the Alaska team's inaugural season in 1986. Morrison's father helped the team reach the quarterfinals in the All-Filipino Conference.
Morrison grew up in Morocco, North Africa but moved to study at the University of Southern California, where she met DeRozan in 2009, who was playing for USC Trojans. The two have been together ever since.

Morrison and her husband connected through their passion for basketball when DeRozan played his lone season at USC. Their relationship blossomed, and to date, Morrison is her husband's negotiator on everything; she said it's a full-time job.

Morrison Is Half-Filipino and Once Went to Manila with Demar DeRozan
Morrison, half-Filipino, said that her husband is well-conversant with the Filipino culture. The couple visited the Philippines twice.
Their last visit was in 2014 when Morrison's husband represented the NBA in a basketball clinic with NBA Cares. In an interview, she stated that it was her first time visiting the country:
"It's great to be back here for the first time, to experience the culture with DeMar. DeMar eats a lot of adobo! But for some reason, he prefers my mom's better than mine!"

Morrison and DeRozan have two daughters, Mari and Diar. Despite his busy schedule, the basketball star is a present dad and values his family.
The mom of two has a special bond with her daughters. In an Instagram post, she said that her kids are her greatest gift, motivating her to be an amazing mother and a great woman.
Morrison explained
that it was her job to set the bar higher so that her girls would be independent women. She added that she never understood unconditional love until she gave birth to her daughters.
In one of the NBA games, Morrison's daughters Diar and Mari sat in the front row watching their Dad conquer another team. The two girls were spotted on the sideline mimicking his free-throw routine while he shot from the foul line.
In 2016 when DeRozan celebrated his teammate Kyle Lowry's win, he wrapped his arm around Lowry, making it one of the best pictures of the season. Lowry's son Karter and DeRozan's daughter Diar recreated the moment in a precious photo.
Morrison's daughter melted people's hearts in 2016 when she interrupted her father during a press conference to tell him she loved him.
