Lindsay Rae Hofmann Is Scott Speedman's Longtime Girlfriend and the Mother of His Daughter

Lindsay Rae Hofmann's lover, actor Scott Speedman, once described himself as a "disaster of a boyfriend." The actor has been quite frank about his state of mind at different ages, even about fatherhood. But when he and Hofmann welcomed a daughter last year, he felt the timing was "just great."

Born in London, England, Scott Speedman's Hollywood career began with a dare when he appeared on a show called "Speakers Corner." Taken by the world of entertainment, he started doing auditions. He lost his first role as Robin in 1995's "Batman Begins" to Chris O'Donnell but soon found an agent.

It wasn't long before Speedman landed his breakthrough role, one he would become chiefly recognized for, in the 2000s show "Felicity," as Ben Covington. He starred alongside his former girlfriend and now-close friend, Keri Russell; however, the pair kept their relationship on a low profile.

Speedman's fame catapulted as he landed more memorable parts, and one of his most recent was in Season 3 of the Netflix thriller, "You," as Matthew Engler. As his character was a widower and a stepfather, Speedman admitted that it took some effort to wrap his head around the role of fatherhood on-screen.

However, after he and his beau, Lindsay Rae Hofmann, announced they were expecting their first child, the "Underworld" alum couldn't contain his excitement about the prospect of being a parent. Despite "having no idea" about how his kid's arrival would affect his life, Speedman couldn't wait to find out.

Hofmann was also excited and regularly shared photos of her growing belly on her social media. She isn't in the entertainment industry like her boyfriend, but she is a successful entrepreneur who co-founded a business based in Los Angeles in 2017.

Though her background is unknown to the public, Hofmann is a two-time college alumna. In 2011, she attained her Associate's degree in Nutritional Sciences and General Studies. She then enrolled at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising, achieving another Associates in Merchandising the following year.

As she focused on her studies, Hofmann interned in Sales and Visual Merchandising between October and November 2011 at Vivienne Westwood. In 2012, she started working as an Editorial Accounts Manager at Bollare and stayed with the company until November 2016.

Hofmann then started working as an independent Brand Consultant and co-founded her swimwear brand, Juillet, in 2017. The company has its own Instagram page, where Hofmann advertises the latest bikini designs, some of which come with complimentary scarves.

Recent posts on the Juillet page suggest an expansion in Hofmann's business, with her advertising beautiful floral maxi dresses and matching two pieces modeled by her and others. Based in Los Angeles, all her products are available for purchase on the Juillet website.

Speedman has always preferred to keep his relationships low-key, guarding them against prying Hollywood eyes. His romance timeline with Hofmann is unclear, but it seems the couple started dating sometime in 2016. And although they've welcomed a child together, they haven't shared any plans for marriage.

Despite describing himself as a "disaster of a boyfriend" after dating Keri Russell, Speedman seems happy with Hofmann. They subtly debuted their relationship in an Instagram post in July 2017 after a "magical night," as Hofmann wrote. Later that year, they enjoyed a vacation and beach day on the shores of Hawaii.

On Mother's Day 2021, Hofmann and Speedman announced they were expecting their baby girl, garnering many kind wishes from friends and colleagues. In October of that year, Speedman gushed about being a first-time dad and felt the timing aligned for him. Still, he didn't know what to expect, as he explained:

"I have no idea what's coming. But everybody says that having kids changes your life. And whatever that means, I'm excited to find out."

On October 26, he and Hofmann welcomed Pfieffer Lucia Speedman, who weighed 6.6 pounds, in their home. Both parents announced the good news on their pages, and the now-1-year-old regularly appears on her mom's page.
