On September 5, 2023, Erika revealed how she and Charlie met while celebrating their fifth anniversary. She said five years ago, along with some pictures and a video, they sat at New York City's Bills Burgers and had banter over philosophy, politics, and theology.

At the end of their meeting, he vowed that he would date her, and the rest was history. Alongside many wedding day photos on May 8, 2022, Erika revealed that a year ago, on that day, she and Charlie got married.
