Kids Surprise Their Crossing Guard on Her 94th Birthday with 94 Roses and Sweet Birthday Song
Older citizens don't always get the praise and recognition they deserve. Thankfully, one woman from Tennessee was covered in love on her 94th birthday.
Miny Weaver is a unique woman. Even after turning 94 in December 2022, she showed no signs of slowing down. Her age didn't affect her attitude, and she was active in her town.
While many people in Weaver's stage of life were enjoying their retirement, she was different. The woman did an impactful job with pride and dignity—even if everyone didn't see how critical her role was in the community.

The Wonderful Birthday Surprise
Weaver worked as a crossing guard, helping the precious kids of Kenrose Elementary School cross the road safely every morning and every afternoon, including her birthday when she showed up dressed in her bright yellow vest and gloves.
In awe of her passion for their safety, the kids of Kenrose surprised Weaver with 94 stunning roses, warm hugs, and big smiles of appreciation that day. The students also sang "Happy Birthday," making the woman's day.
The special birthday experience wasn't the first time Weaver received a surprise while on the job. For her 92nd birthday, something unexpected also happened.

A Highlight of Their Day
Weaver was appointed by Williamson County Sheriff's Office in 2016 and loved her job. The students never took her pleasant greetings for granted, and they showed her how much she meant to them.
Weaver was a staple and highlight of the day for many kids. One of the students who knew Weaver well, Caden Curran, shared:
"She is so sweet in helping with traffic and anything with the school."
Another pupil said they looked forward to giving Weaver an elbow bump every morning. The little girl, Millie Clement, added that she liked her hats. Weaver often showed up to work wearing a bejeweled toboggan, making her even more beloved.

She Was Grateful for Her Health
The memorable birthday experience wasn't the first time Weaver received a surprise while on the job. For her 92nd birthday, something unexpected also happened.
She was met with balloons and cards from the students, and the kind display made Weaver emotional. She said:
"I loved it. We'd like to be ten years younger, but I can't turn back the clock. I'm thankful for the good health I have. The students kind of make my job."
A Significant Person in the Community
The school's assistant principal, Krista Kraemer, remarked that Weaver was a key member of their little community and expressed her gratitude for the role she played in keeping everyone safe. She added:
"She is the first person students see as they arrive on campus each morning, and she is the last person to wave them goodbye in the afternoon. [She] is a bright light and always has a friendly smile on her face."
The Online Response
The online community was eager to offer their best wishes to the lovely lady. Users complimented Weaver's youthful appearance, and many were happy she was showered with the affection she deserved on her special day:
"Happy Birthday, Mrs. Miny! I don’t know whose idea that was, but it was a great one! What a lovely way to celebrate this lady’s birthday! Hopefully, she had enough vases to hold all of them, lol!"
