Dad Promises Daughter to Fulfill Any Wish, She Styles Him for Work the Next Day – Story of the Day

Jeremy felt terrible that he didn't get to spend much time with his daughter because of how much he worked. One day, he got to make it up to her by granting her an adorable wish.

Jeremy was a happy man with a loving wife, Susan, and a precious daughter, Emily. He had a thriving landscaping company, but due to the nature of the job, he needed to work long hours. This meant Jeremy didn't get to spend as much time with Emily as he would like.

He would always try to be very quiet when leaving in the morning to avoid upsetting his daughter. One day, Emily heard him trying to leave at 5 a.m. and ran into his arms, crying. "It's not fair, dad. You're always working, and we never get to play. Please stay at home," Emily pleaded as she wiped tears from her eyes.

Trying his best to calm her down, Jeremy promised that he would grant her one wish. "Think hard about your wish, and when I come back from work, I promise I will grant it," Jeremy insisted. Emily agreed and went back to bed.

Jeremy already knew what costumes his daughter would have ready for them. There was one cartoon that Emily was absolutely obsessed with. Jeremy and Susan followed their daughter into her room and saw matching hoodies with a familiar character.

"We're gonna be Hello Kitty twins!" Emily exclaimed as she performed a ballerina twirl. Jeremy immediately hung his head and let out a chuckle. "Welp! A promise is a promise. For one day only, we're gonna cut some bushes in the Hello Kitty hoodies," he said.

"I think you should try it on to make sure it fits," Susan said with a cheeky smile. Before dinner time, Susan snapped a photo of Jeremy in his outfit. The next day, Jeremy drove with Susan to work. For the entire drive, he worried himself with anxious thoughts.

How will my employees respect me if I work in children's clothes? He thought to himself. When they arrived at the house that his company was landscaping that day, Jeremy was met with an unexpected surprise. Every single one of his employees was also wearing Hello Kitty outfits. They had matching shirts, sweaters, and even socks.

A few of them had even brought their daughters along as well. Everybody cheered for Jeremy and Emily as they walked into the front yard.

"Come on, boss, you think you're the only one with a daughter who loves Hello Kitty? I got this sweater for my birthday!" his colleague, Anthony, told him.

"I guess I just thought y'all would look at me sideways or something," Jeremy replied. "Nonsense, you're a great leader, and now we know that even the hardest working man in town is human too. We love that you're looking out for your daughter," Anthony replied.

Jeremy asked how they knew about the outfits since Jeremy had only found out the previous evening. Anthony revealed that he had received a message from Susan the previous night with pictures of Jeremy and Emily wearing their outfits.

The text read, "Hey, guys. So Jeremy promised Emily to bring her to work in matching outfits. He's going to be worried that you guys will tease him or lose respect. He's trying to do something sweet for Emily since he's been working so hard lately."

Anthony got the whole team to support their boss and join in on the promise. Jeremy was grateful that his colleagues had his back and showed him support. The company was full of hard workers, and Jeremy often worried whether or not they respected him as a leader.

Despite the long hours, Jeremy and his team always maintained a great sense of humor. It brought a smile to Jeremy's face to see his co-workers styled in tops with kittens while they stayed hard at work.

"I appreciate you guys so much. Thanks for doing this. It must be a real treat for the client to see a bunch of grown men in his yard wearing kitty clothes," Jeremy joked.

Emily was over the moon. Not only did she get to spend time with her dad, but she was also excited to meet all of his co-workers.

Anthony and the rest of the team were all very kind to Emily and showed her how they trim the shrubs, de-weed the garden, and mow the lawn. She also made friends with other kids who had come to work with their dads. "I can't believe you got everyone to dress up just for me! You're the best dad ever!" Emily told Jeremy.

Jeremy wanted her to enjoy the moment and only told her later on that mom was the one to thank. Jeremy felt inspired and decided that they would set aside one day when everybody brought their families every month. They would go out to have fun somewhere in town.

The following month was Emily's birthday party. Jeremy's company threw her a Hello Kitty-themed party at a local arcade. Jeremy realized that there's always a way to make time for family.
