Fans of the 2003 fantasy film "Peter Pan" may remember Jeremy Sumpter from his acclaimed portrayal of the title character. The then-14-year-old became an instant hit among the film's lovers and even had some fans crushing on him. Well, the childhood star is finally off the market.

Sumpter, born on February 5, 1989, in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California, has not had much career progression in film after "Peter Pan." A handful of minor roles in television and film productions has seen his popularity dwindle. However, he is still making appearances and was recently involved in a romantic Christmas movie.

And speaking about romance, Sumpter finally got married the second time he asked. In 2016, he was engaged to Lauren Pacheco, but they broke up before they could tie the knot. However, in 2022, Sumpter got engaged again, this time to Elizabeth Treadway, and they married shortly after.

Although it is unclear when the beautiful couple started their courtship, their engagement was announced in August 2022. Sumpter announced on Instagram with a picture showing the engagement ring and a caption that said, "Yup… it's happening."

And indeed, it did happen this time around. On October 1, 2022, Sumpter wedded his fiancée, Treadway. The wedding occurred on a magnificent 300-acre property called The Antrim, just 45 minutes south of Nashville, Tennessee. Treadway called it "the best day of my life," while the groom declared:

"Best day ever. I got to marry the love of my life with all of my closest friends and family there to watch. It was absolutely perfect!"

Fans know about Sumpter from his portrayal of Peter Pan in the 2003 live-action film "Peter Pan." He is also known for appearing in "Friday Nights Lights" alongside Minka Kelly and Michael B. Jordan.

However, his wife has never been in the entertainment business: therefore, very little is known about her in the public domain. LinkedIn says she is an experienced corporate flight attendant working for Pegasus Elite Aviation and a contract flight attendant. She attended the Aircare FACTS training.

Jeremy Sumpter Was Engaged to Another Woman in the Past

Sumpter almost married another special lady in his life before Treadway. On March 4, 2016, he announced, via Twitter, that he had asked his longtime girlfriend, Lauren Pacheco, to marry him and she had said yes.

The announcement post showed Sumpter on one knee in front of Pacheco in an open field. It also had a caption that read, "Here's what's happening, Twitter… I'm engaged to the most amazing woman I've ever known."

The actor appeared to be head over heels for Pacheco. He, at times, even tweeted about her, showering her with sweet messages such as "Starting to really miss my little princess." Unfortunately, and for no stated reason, the couple called off the engagement later that year. Sumpter made the sad revelation in October 2016.

Jeremy Sumpter Stars in a New Christmas Romantic Comedy from HBO Max

Sumpter's early childhood success has not translated into becoming a big-time movie star, as he has not appeared in many other productions. However, it is the festive season, and in the spirit of giving, the childhood star for many fans has something in store for entertainment and enjoyment.

On November 24, a film, "Holiday Harmony," featuring Sumpter as one of the lead characters, started streaming on HBO max. The film follows a singer and songwriter, Gail, who is pursuing her musical dreams after an opportunity presents itself across the country.

The character, played by Annelise Cepero, experiences car failure in Harmony Springs, Oklahoma. This was a devastating blow to her two weeks before her planned performance at the iHeartRadio Christmas performance.

However, while in town, she meets Jeremy, ironically played by Jeremy Sumpter, with whom she soon becomes close. Ultimately, she has to choose between leaving her newfound love behind and continuing with her musical dream.
