Lynda Carter Looks Amazing at 71 & Won't 'Get All Cut Up’ — She Eats Fresh, Hikes, and Does High-Intensity Cardio
"Wonder Woman" actress Lynda Carter makes fans wonder about her timeless beauty. At 71, the former movie star looks ageless, thanks to her good genes and healthy habits, including fresh meals, hikes, and intense cardio.
It has been nearly five decades since Lynda Carter, a brunette beauty, captivated fans with her acting prowess, playing the most prominent DC Comics woman superhero, Wonder Woman, in the series bearing the same name.
Although "Wonder Woman" remains her most significant onscreen work, Carter, a beauty pageant winner, and singer, has witnessed many of life's successes. Still, she continues to appear in headlines for being an ageless star.

In August, the former Miss America stunned fans by merely strutting down the streets of Venice. Paparazzi took shots of the age-defying goddess, who donned a long floral-themed jumpsuit on comfortable slippers.
She held a black purse and matching colored apple watch. Carter's hair was held firmly in a bun behind her head, giving room for her earrings and natural-makeup face to be noticed.
In a world where celebrities find it challenging to flaunt their natural looks without succumbing to pressures that lead them to undergo surgery or use filters, the "Wonder Woman" alum boldly carries on, impressing fans with her ageless and natural beauty.
Her recent videos and interviews also make it difficult to dismiss that she must have inherited some remarkably youthful genes from her parents.
Carter has always been confident about her appearance. In 2013, at 61, she flaunted her never-aging physique, reminding fans of her days as the drop-dead gorgeous crime-fighting Amazon.
While promoting her musical performance at the Time Warner Center in the Big Apple, the brunette beauty opted for more casual closet pieces, including a blazer-framed white button-down shirt draped over fitted pants and open-toed heeled sandals.
The singer also accessorized with a silver necklace, long earrings, a leather orange bag, and the most impeccable of all—flashing her white teeth.
Almost a decade later, Carter proved to fans that she still has her charm. In a shared post dedicated to celebrating the Christmas holiday, the entertainer reached out to fans with an admirable message that read:
"Merry Christmas to all who are celebrating today! Wishing you all a joyous holiday and plenty of fun, laughter, and time spent with loved ones."
But what caught the headlines was her photo. The entertainer's portrait-length image showed her posing behind a Christmas tree. Her face was wrinkle-free with refreshingly light makeup and her signature red lipstick.
Carter donned a blazer on top of an off-white turtleneck top, adding layers of matching pearl necklaces that complimented her earrings.
Though the "Wonder Woman" star tried connecting with fans via holiday messages, wishing them good tidings, before the post, she had lost her husband, Robert Altman. The pair were married for thirty-seven years, and Carter admitted she felt lost without her longtime partner.
Carter met Altman in 1982 during her divorce from Ron Samuels. Despite not being ready to start afresh, the duo soon became a couple and, through their years of marriage, stuck by each other while parenting their two kids.
Amid her loss, Carter learned to cope with the grief by immersing herself in her music career and welcoming efforts from her kids. Furthermore, the singer looked out for herself, maintaining her beauty and healthy habits.
Lynda Carter Knows How to Look Ageless without Surgery
Carter has always been family-oriented, and despite her bad marriage with Samuels, she redefined her life and enjoyed being a wife and mother—and daughter.
Following motherhood, she gave up on her dream to sing, but Altman encouraged her, and somehow, she achieved her goal of being a well-known singer.
The actress grew up admiring her parents and remained close to them until their deaths. In honor of the recent Veterans Day celebrations, she posted a photo of her dad Colby Carter, a WWII army officer.
He wore a radiant smile while posing next to his wife. Carter mentioned that she missed him before writing "Happy Veterans Day." A few years ago, she celebrated her mother, who died in 2013.
The former beauty pageant icon uploaded an image of her young mother in a two-piece swimsuit as she lounged on the sands of a sunny beach. Carter called her "my beautiful mother," noting that she missed her voice, laugh, and smile.
Thanks to her parents' genes and lifestyle, the actress never found aging fearful; she always knew it was inevitable and did not try to undergo surgery to maintain perfection. In 2018, while speaking about aging, she unashamedly revealed:
"It is what it is. I'm not going to get all cut up. With all that stuff, I'm too afraid of looking different, so I don't think I will."
The actress raved on about what deters her from surgery. She revealed her mom was almost 90 when she passed away but without a wrinkle on her face, explaining:
"I think part of it is just genetics. And my dad looks really great. He's 95, he looks amazing. I know too many people who have had work done and they look terrible. I think my ego's too fragile. I think I'd be afraid of looking scary."
Alongside her fantastic genetics, Carter is living an active lifestyle to make aging look flawless. The singer eats healthily by avoiding processed foods. She is also an exercise fanatic, patronizing different workout routines indoors and outdoors.
Her exercise to-do list includes taking walks and walking on a treadmill, riding a stationary bike, and a few intense cardio workouts that keep her body alive. She also engages in sports like swimming, hiking, skiing, tennis, and rowing.
Thankfully, Carter's willingness to stay strong and work ardently with a personal trainer has been fruitful. But that's not all; strengthening her beauty as much as her body stemmed from listening to her mother.
One beauty advice her mother gave her was to never go under the sun. She paired this sunburn resistance method with using the same soap for years while staying off too much makeup as a perfect beauty routine.
Lynda Carter Now
The 71-year-old has not strayed off-course. She still adheres to her beauty tips, possessing an infectious glow, even though she mourns her husband, who died of myelofibrosis last year.
As mentioned earlier, Carter loves to talk about their time as a couple and has in no small way explained how they handled their romance, kids, and support for each other's careers.
Following motherhood, she gave up on her dream to sing, but Altman encouraged her, and somehow, she achieved her goal of being a well-known singer. Last month, she was inducted into the California Hall of Fame.
Carter, who identifies as a feminist, is also in the business of motivating women. In the past, she joined the #MeTooMovement to speak about her experience.
Additionally, she believes that the court's ruling has trampled women's rights but that their courage to speak up shows they possess a "real superpower."
Today, Carter is living life by her own rules—a healthy diet and exercise routine, while leaning on her kids for support whenever grief sets in. But she also lives for strangers, showing true heroism through her charity by providing comfort to the needy and inspiring fans worldwide.
