The flames quickly covered the cot as Aspen tried to pull baby Nirveya out. However, she was too heavy, so the brave brother climbed into the cot with his precious sibling.

It collapsed because of his weight, but Aspen's body shielded Nirveya from most of the flames. His mom Jade awoke to his crying and the fire alarm, quickly rushing into the room and pulling her kids to safety.

Her son didn't leave the incident unscathed and had burn wounds on his arm and leg. His courage saved his sister's life, and the youngster received widespread recognition for his admirable selflessness. His mom was proud and thankful, noting:

"Most adults wouldn't be that brave ... He's my hero. He's her hero. I don't think he quite knows how special [it is] what he has done."

2. Seven-Year-Old Guardian Angel Brother Runs into Burning Home

Seven-year-old Eli had no idea that a typical day in December 2020 would require him to step forward and save a life. But that's precisely what happened when his New Tazewell, Tennessee home went up in flames.

The heat was unbearable, and mom Nicole Davidson grabbed her kids, rushing them to safety as soon as she realized they were in danger. However, her 2-month-old daughter was trapped inside their abode.

Smoke and flames prevented the parents from reaching Erin Davidson's room, so they went outside and tried to enter via the window. Chris Davidson could not get up and into the room quickly, but little Eli could.

Chris helped him get through the window, where he could grab her from the crib just in time. The youngster said:

"I thought I couldn’t do it, but then I said, ‘I got her, dad.’ I was scared, but I didn’t want my sister to die."

3. Youngster Is a Hero after Saving His Sister from Raging Flames

Shortly before Thanksgiving in 2022, a Maryland family experienced a shocking ordeal. Their apartment caught alight, and the events could have unfolded tragically if not for 11-year-old Laprentis Doughty. He couldn't just stand by and watch the flames grow bigger.

He knew his baby sister was still stuck in the apartment, so he ran into the room and carried her to safety before it was too late. Mom Keishauna Banks didn't know how to thank her son. She was still processing the ordeal but gave him lots of praise and adoration.

Baby Loyalty might not understand her brother's actions yet, but one day she will be able to thank him. For Laprentis, knowing his sister was safe was all that mattered. He expressed:

"If I didn't save my sister, I would've been mad at myself because I could've saved her easily. I could have saved her ... I feel good that my sister's alive today."

Moments later, the ladder gave way, leaving the woman hanging on for dear life. She was suspended in the air with nothing to shield her if she fell onto the hard concrete. Thankfully, her son witnessed the ordeal and ran to the rescue.

The youngster struggled to lift the heavy ladder but used all his strength to save his mom. After some time, he succeeded in raising it and placed it close to his mom, allowing her to gain secure footing again. 5. Teen Acts Quickly to Stop Dad from Being Crushed under Truck

A California family almost lost the patriarch in their home after a devastating incident left him trapped under his truck. Dad Matthew Wilkinson worked on the vehicle late one night in 2022 like he had done many times before.

His teen son, Dalin Wilkinson, checked on him and chose to stay and help with the work on the truck's breaks. It was a simple decision, but the consequences were far-reaching. The truck unexpectedly rolled forward, dropped, and landed on Matthew.

The father was trapped underneath and couldn't talk, breathe or scream. The night could have ended in disaster if his son had not been nearby. Miraculously, Dalin lifted the truck so his father could roll out from underneath the heavy vehicle.

He suffered a punctured lung and broken bones but was grateful for his heroic son. Surveillance cameras captured the unbelievable moment, and Dalin recalled:

"It just dropped right on him. I was scared. I heard him make a noise like his soul was leaving his body. It was crazy. I just ran over and tried as hard as I could to get it up enough to get him out."

6. Nine-Year-Old Jumps into Water to Save Drowning Sibling

In 2017, a nine-year-old boy from Tahlequah, Oklahoma, noticed his four-year-old brother outside. He was unsupervised and fell into the pool and started sinking. J.J. Swafford couldn't swim and was in life-threatening danger.

His big brother, Christopher Perry, was in the right place at the right time. The boy's mother, Keisha Swafford, couldn't get to the pool, so the little one's life depended on Christopher—and he didn't disappoint his beloved sibling.

The child knew his brother was out of breath, but after coughing and crying, they knew he would be okay. Keisha's shuddered thinking about how the ordeal could have unfolded and remained thankful to her brave son. She hoped their scare would warn other parents. Keisha stated:

"When your kids are awake, you need to stay within feet of them because it can happen in a second."

A Bal Harbour, Florida, family's surveillance camera captured an unbelievable moment in 2016. Mom Tila Levi was getting her five kids ready for bed, busy dressing them and seeing to their needs when something shocking happened.

She turned her back on her one-month-old baby for a few seconds, never moving more than a few inches away from his changing table. But sadly, a few seconds was all it took for disaster to strike. Her 30-pound baby flopped around the edge of the high table before rolling off the edge.

Nine-year-old Joseph Levi's instincts kicked in immediately, and he sprinted to catch his fragile sibling. With his arms stretched out, he softened the infant's fall and prevented a possible tragedy. Tila called her son's actions miraculous and expressed:

"I must have done something right to have been deserving of this little guy, running in at the right time and catching him at the right moment ... I think that all of our lives can change in a second."

8. Ten-Year-Old Finds Brother Face Down in Pool, Acts Quickly to Save Him

A ten-year-old from Detroit used skills he learned from a movie to save his sibling in 2017. Jacob O'Connor idolized Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and watched all his films. However, he never imagined one of them would prove life-saving.

The youngster found his two-year-old brother, Dylan, lying face down in the pool. It was a scary scene, and the infant had been in that position for about a minute. Jacob jumped into the water immediately and pulled his brother out before he started with chest compressions.

The child recalled seeing "The Rock" performing CPR on a girl in the film, "San Andreas," so he mimicked the actions. Jacob told his grandmother, who quickly ran outside and realized they needed to take Dylan to the hospital. The child's condition was unstable, and his mom, Christa, said:

"The first few hours at the hospital were the worst because they weren't sure if he was going to fully recover. They couldn't tell me he's going to be okay."

She was relieved when doctors discharged Dylan after one day in the hospital. He would be okay, and it was all thanks to his brave big brother. The grandmother also put double locks on her doors leading to the pool area. Hopefully, their story will encourage others to be more careful as well.

9. Brave Son Prevents Mom from Drowning as She Has Seizure in Pool

Ten-year-old Gavin Keeney from Oklahoma heard splashing in the pool and saw a terrifying scene. His epileptic mom, Lori Keeney, was having a seizure in the water. Gavin ran from the porch and jumped into the pool, lifting his mom's head.

The 2022 incident was captured on their home security camera and displayed the boy's bravery. An ordinary morning turned into a life-threatening experience, but Gavin kept his mom safe until his grandfather heard the commotion and came to help.

Thanks to their family dog's loud barking, the grandfather knew something was wrong and could assist Gavin, who was stunned by the experience. Video footage displayed the three embracing after the traumatizing ordeal and made many viewers emotional.

Gavin admitted he was scared but remained calm for his beloved mom's sake. Lori called it a terrifying moment but was thankful for her incredible son and shared:

"It scared me more than I've ever been scared ... He's definitely my hero. But I really do feel like he's my guardian angel, as well."

10. Two-Year-Old Lifts Dresser after It Fell on His Twin Brother

Twin brothers Brock and Bowdy Shoff were having fun in their room, but a perfect day in 2017 quickly became life-threatening. While the youngsters were playing, their dresser fell over and landed on Brock.

Camera footage showed two-year-old Bowdy trying to help his sibling. He struggled to devise a plan to free his twin from under the furniture. Thankfully, after about two minutes, he managed to lift it enough so that Brock could roll out.

The Orem, Utah twins didn't have a scratch on them following the incident, and dad Ricky Shoff said his wife only learned of it when she checked the camera later. They shared the clip online to raise awareness and encourage parents to bolt their dresses to the wall. Mom Kayli added:

"It’s kind of a miracle. It’s something really special, to see how Bowdy helped Brock."
