Miranda Lambert is a country music singer and songwriter from Longview, Texas. At 20 years old, Lambert competed for the top spot on the "Nashville Star," talent show in 2003 and came third. But she caught the eye of Sony Music executive Tracy Gershon, and she signed with Epic Records in September of that year.
Lambert took the country music scene by storm with her album "Kerosene." The album went platinum, producing four chart-topping singles, and was number one on the Billboard Top country albums chart. The adoring public hooked, and the scrutiny got worse after she met fellow country star, Blake Shelton.

Lambert and Shelton began dating in 2006 and got married in May 2011. Unfortunately, the marriage ended four years later. Speaking about how she felt about the attention she received, Lambert said:
“I wasn’t prepared for that. Well, I don’t think anyone is. It’s not nice sometimes, but I think you’ve gotta take it with a grain of salt.”
The "If I Was A Cowboy" singer, who has kept the details of her split relatively private, channeled her emotions into her music. Her songwriting and performances served as a catharsis to process her emotions surrounding the end of her marriage.
Lambert had to deal with her ex moving on with "The Voice" co-star, Gwen Stefani. Fans were moved to tears when the singer got choked up as she sang a song she wrote with Shelton. She wiped tears away as she sang her 2012 single, "Over You," letting her audience complete the lyrics.
All who have seen the couple out and about agree that they look incredibly happy.
The country star also took comfort in her animals. The animal-lover lives with a variety of animals, including some chickens, horses, cats, rabbits, and thirteen dogs. She also never failed to deliver music that her dedicated audience resonates with.
Finding Love Again
Lambert was blessed to find love again with Brendan McLoughlin. The two met in 2018 while the singer was performing on "Good Morning America." The former NYPD officer was working as a security guard. Speaking of their whirlwind courtship, she said:
“We sort of got to just really, really, really get to know each other. It was just us two with no distraction, at my farm outside of Nashville. And so I was really thankful for it because it made us really strong.”
In January 2019, Lambert secretly wed her beau after less than three months of dating. The intimate ceremony was held at her Tennessee estate near Primm Springs. The bride was dressed in a lace gown with a plunging neckline and a modest train. And the groom was smart in a suit with a white shirt and no tie.
The singer eventually shared the news of her marriage with fans via Instagram. The post was flooded with congratulatory replies, with one fan gushing that McLoughlin obviously made Lambert so happy and the songstress had hit the "jackpot."
The couple said that they agreed to start trying for a baby after their third anniversary...
And all who have seen the couple out and about agree that they look incredibly happy. Lambert was determined to do things differently her second time around. She kept her courtship and wedding low-key in contrast to her first.
Family Life
The "Settling Down" star, who has 75 acres of pasture and a large barn, has more than enough space to keep her own horses. She loves to ride on open ground or wooded trails within the 400-acre estate. When speaking about how her husband adjusted to being surrounded by her animals, she said:
“I was like 'Hey, I got the dogs, you got the kid, we can mix and mingle.'”
McLoughlin has a 4-year-old son, Landon, whom the shares with ex Kaihla Rettinger. Lambert has taken to be a stepmom and adores the little boy. She and her husband split their time between the bustle of New York and the tranquility of the farm.
Her rustic 3,544 square-foot abode is an open-plan style house that boasts a large kitchen, wood finishes, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a fireplace. There is also a comfortable porch where Lambert loves to write her songs.
The journey from heartbreak hasn't been easy, but like a country song, Lambert has had a great story to tell.
The living space extends outdoors with a fire pit and picnic area. There is a stocked lake where the family and friends can enjoy the water canoeing, fishing, or swimming.
A source close to the couple said that they agreed to start trying for a baby after their third anniversary, adding that McLoughlin is excited to have children with Lambert. Speaking in anticipation of the new season together, she said:
“I’m loving that whole phase. And I’ve raised a million dogs, so I feel like I’ve got that part of my womanly/motherly thing full, so this is a whole new journey. It’s great.”
Lambert's love for animals inspired her to start MuttNation, a foundation that raises awareness for animal shelters to connect pets that need homes and to people looking for a four-legged friend. The organization also educates pet owners to spay or neuter their pets to avoid adding to the homeless population.
Miranda Lambert has always put her heart into her music, and now she has a love worthy of entrusting it to. The journey from heartbreak hasn't been easy, but like a country song, Lambert has had a great story to tell. And in some ways, it's only just beginning.
