Amanda Markert Is the Mother of Pauly D's Daughter Who Was the Centre of Their Conflict
During a wild night out at the club, famous Disc Jockeys Pauly D and Amanda Markert enjoyed a brief moment that made a lasting impression. Roughly nine months after their meeting, their daughter, Amabella Sophia, was born.
DJ Pauly D, born Paul Michael DelVecchio Jr., in Providence, Rhode Island, on July 5, 1980. He rose to fame in 2009 when he appeared on "Jersey Shore," a reality television show on MTV. His career as an entertainer developed from there, eventually resulting in him becoming a renowned DJ with the G-Unit stable.
In 2012, Pauly D, while playing at the Hard Rock Hotel, which was hosting a pool party, and Markert, who was partying heavily, had a connection that lasted for a night. That simple hookup soon led to resentment and a battle over custody and child support for their daughter.
Amanda and Pauly D Had Conflict over Their Daughter
Pauly D and Amanda got into conflict after their daughter's birth, leading to Markert refusing to let him see his child. The estranged couple got their lawyers involved in their domestic problems. Pauly D's lawyer sent a request to Markert's attorney, asking for his client to get visitation time with his baby girl.
The petition asked for the visit to be two weeks long. However, Markert's camp was not in agreement, pointing out that Pauly D could not be left with the baby unsupervised for that long. The positive from that response was that visitation was still on the table; however, they still had to agree on the length and supervision.
Pauly D's attorney agreed to a supervised visit, but Markert's team stopped responding just as they seemed to be finding common ground. A representative of Pauly D noted:
"Paul and his entire family are eager to meet and spend time with Paul’s daughter. Paul has been requesting visitation for quite some time now, but his requests have either gone unresponded to or denied."
Paul D First Met His Daughter at 5 Months
Five months after the birth of Amabella, her parents were able to iron out their differences and give Pauly D, a former collaborator with 50 Cent, a chance to meet his daughter for the first time.
TMZ reported that the father and daughter meeting was set to take place at a neutral venue close to Amanda's New Jersey home. This was a massive step in the positive direction for the pair, who were described as having hated each other's guts from the time the baby was conceived.
This event marked a temporary truce in their battle for custody, where Markert accused Pauly D of using their daughter for show. On the other hand, Pauly was accusing Markert of using the baby as a way to get money and fame from him.
Pauly D Daughter Is Now a Grown-up Girl
After all the issues about custody and child support when Amabelle was younger, the parties involved appear to have found common ground. Amabella seems to enjoy the company of both her parents, although at different times. On one side, the father-daughter combination has grown very fond of each other.
Pauly D is proud to be a father and enjoys spending time with his little girl. In 2018, the entertainer opened up about his relationship with his then, five-year-old daughter, whom he referred to as his "mini-me." Amabella already possesses an incredible sense of humor, visible in her pranks. Pauly D noted:
“She does pranks on me. She hid my phone, and she’ll keep the prank going for like an hour.”
Amabella appears to have a close relationship with her mother, as seen in Markert's Instagram posts. On one occasion, she shared a photo of her daughter from 2014, showing when she only had two teeth, to 2020, when she was missing two.
Markert sees her daughter as her gift from heaven with a heavenly heart. Amabella displayed great maturity and compassion when she was adamant that she wanted to cut off her hair so that someone in need could use it. A sweet gesture from a seemingly loving young lady.
