Hopie Carlson Is One of Tucker Carlson's Daughters – Facts about Her

Popular news anchor Tucker Carlson is a father of four, three daughters and a son with his wife, Susie Carlson. Among his daughters is Hopie Carlson, who is the third oldest child.

Hopie is around 23 years old and currently studying at Virginia University. She also spent some of her childhood in Virginia but attended the same high school as her parents and siblings, a boarding school in Rhode Island.

Although she is the daughter of a famous person, little is known about her. However, her dad has shared some tidbits over the years, including a tale about their family vacation and an unfortunate event where their house was invaded in 2018.

Hopie Is One of 4 Siblings

Hopie was born in 1998 or 1999, based on a People magazine report in November 2000 which noted that she was one year old. She is the third of Tucker's four children. Elder sister Lillie is four years older than her, brother Buckley is two years her senior, and Dorothy is three years younger.

Hopie spent some childhood in the family's 1906 farmhouse in Alexandria, Virginia. However, Hopie did her high school at St. George's School in Rhode Island, a boarding school that her parents had attended and where they met. While at the school, she was given the mantle of senior prefect and was involved in several sports activities.

After high school, she joined her older siblings at Virginia University. However, the family has since moved from Virginia and currently resides in Washington DC, closer to Tucker's place of work.

In 2019, Hopie and her sisters were in the headlines after their father made controversial comments that he would never let them date feminists. Tucker said, "Would you let your daughter date some guy who called himself a feminist? No, 'cause he's a creep! By definition!'"

Hopie's Parents Knew Each Other since Childhood

Hopie's parents, Tucker and Susie, met while in High School. Susie's father was the headmaster. After high school, Hopie's father studied at Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut. Six months before finishing his studies there, he returned to his former school and asked Susie's father for her hand in marriage.

Although Tucker's career as a leading journalist is very demanding, he and his wife try their best to have some family time with all their children. This includes being at home more often or going on vacations together.

In 2005, Tucker wrote an article in the New York Times where he discussed a vacation that he, his wife, and their four children had taken on an Island off the coast of Georgia. The small island of St. Simons seemed like a mildly dangerous place to visit due to its remoteness and presence of wild animals, yet it didn't faze Carlson.

Hopie's Parents' Home Was Once Attacked

In 2018, a terrible event happened at the Carlson home in Washington, DC. What was initially thought to be a burglary ended up being a protest against Tucker Carlson.

Luckily, no severe damage to people or the property was reported following the violent encounter. Hopie and her siblings were not present at the house throughout the disturbance.

Tucker, who was at work then, was notified of the incursions through text and immediately called Susie. She was the only one home at the time and was in the kitchen preparing to go to dinner.

Susie heard the banging on the door and the loud voices of the people shouting outside and decided to hide and lock herself in the pantry. She called the Police, who responded within minutes and dispersed the crowd outside the house. They also remained stationed close to the home in case of more trouble.
