Jake Manley met his wife, Jocelyn Hudon, through a self-tape coach. The Canadian couple has been together since 2015 when they carpooled to their shared acting agent's summer bash.

Jocelyn Hudon knew Jake Manley was the one when he suggested they skip a New Year's Eve party to watch "Lord of the Rings" at home over pasta. She guest starred in a few episodes of "The Order," in which he played the lead, Jack Morton.

If her mother did not believe the actress when she said they were not having a perfect traditional wedding, the confetti birthday cake from Milk Bar and the zombie officiant drove home her point.

Jake Manley Is Married to His 'the Order' Co-Star Jocelyn Hudon

Lifelong Toronto native Jocelyn Hudon has always wanted to act, and the opportunity to visit a studio in her tweens cemented the desire.

She trained as a ballerina at the National Ballet School of Canada and received two university degrees before booking her first part in Adam Sandler's "Pixels" in 2015.

Her various guest roles on TV shows include Guillermo Del Toro's "The Strain," "The Rookie: Feds," "Dave," and Ruby in two episodes of "The Order."

During the audition for Grace Bennette in "When Calls the Heart" on Hallmark, she immediately felt connected to the part. She had a second go at the character in the single-season spin-off "When Hope Calls."

"The Strain" actress thought it was set by mistake by the studio...

Had she not gone into acting, she would have been a "Soul Cycle instructor for sure," which is not a stretch considering she has taught rock climbing. Though her go-to song to sing in the shower is Ariana Grande's "No Tears Left to Cry," she claims to "rap a mean Biggie Smalls."

Jake Manley and Jocelyn Hudon Had an Unconventional Engagement and Wedding

Looking at Manley's light blue eyes and rugged yet boyish features, it is not surprising that Hudon admitted to crushing on Leonardo DiCaprio and Charlie Hunnam during a 2019 interview. During the same sitting, she professed her love for "Gilmore Girls."

The season one finale of "Gilmore Girls" sees Lauren Graham's Lorelai getting her fantasy proposal of 1,000 daisies. Manley adapted the scene to propose to Hudon on their fifth anniversary on August 26, 2020.

Manley surprised Hudon with a mountain of roses waiting for them on their rental home's rooftop. "The Strain" actress thought it was set by mistake by the studio, but understood what was happening when he said "1,000 red roses" before getting down on one knee.

While dishing about their engagement, she left a few hints for the producers of "Say Yes to the Dress" to film her dress search. However, buying a sheer black gown from an artist in Ukraine over Etsy might not make compelling television, though it made for marvelous Instagram photos.

The couple skewed tradition by eloping in Las Vegas on October 31, 2021, at A Little White Wedding Chapel. A zombified Elvis Presley impersonator officiated the Halloween-themed ceremony.

The decision to become a Vegas Halloween bride was made when Hudon found a gap in her tight filming schedule on her favorite day, which happened to fall on a Sunday.
