Meyers Leonard's wife, Elle Bielfeldt, met the NBA star when they were in university, and they went through everything together: starting a company, the COVID-19 pandemic, and the "numbing" shock of his NBA trade.

After meeting her future husband through her brother, Elle married her college sweetheart in 2016 after the couple debated where they wanted to tie the knot.

According to her husband, the entrepreneur has always "put everything on the back burner" for him. Still, after co-founding a healthy foods company and a gym clothing line, Elle proved Meyers was not the only force to be reckoned with in their relationship.

Elle Bielfeldt Is One of 4 Siblings

Born on January 15, 1992, Elle's husband took to Instagram to celebrate her big day in 2022 with his 300 000 followers at the time of writing. "My everything," he captioned the post, in part.

Elle was raised by David— who had his family amused when the only two pictures he had on his Instagram at the time of publication were cropped images of his family, which were missing a few of his children— and Julie Bielfeldt, a real estate agent.

Elle's relationship with Meyers was not her first taste of the basketball world, as she has a brother, Max Bielfeldt, who has played the sport for many years. In 2016, Elle celebrated the basketball player— who was the reason she met her future husband— following his impressive season.

In 2022, Elle turned a campaign for one of her projects into a family affair when she was joined by her sisters, who served as models for Elle's activewear line. "Just when I thought I couldn't be more obsessed...," Elle captioned the Instagram post.

A sushi lover, Elle has grown a large social media following over the years and revealed creativity, health, and empowerment remained at the forefront of everything she did. Her website reads:

"With the goal to foster the connection of creativity, health and empowerment through everything I do— whether it is viral basketball trick shots, sharing my every day realities, or uplifting the community around me, I am excited to share my journey."

Elle Co-founded a Health Food Business

In 2014, Elle graduated from the University of Illinois, where she studied advertising and marketing, and relocated to Portland to work as her future husband's business manager. "She put everything on the back burner for me," he said.

Meyers entered the NBA draft during his sophomore year in college in 2012 and was the Trail Blazer's first-round pick. His wife, who drew much of her inspiration from Jennifer Lopez, was in charge of everything— from organizing his schedule to running his website while tending to her own career.

After meeting with food industry experts and business professionals, Elle and her husband got their business off the ground.

As an athlete, healthy eating and a clean diet were imperative for Elle's husband's game on the court. However, he found himself facing a dilemma when he could not find enough snacks that were both healthy and delicious.

And in January 2018, Elle whipped up a blend of energy and protein bars in the kitchen of her Portland home for her husband to try. "I was like: 'Wait a minute. This is actually pretty good,'" Meyers said.

And so their food company, Level, was unintentionally born. Elle was encouraged to venture into the food industry after their friends, family, and Meyers' teammates told her how good the bars were.

After meeting with food industry experts and business professionals, Elle and her husband got their business off the ground. The protein bars had four flavors, with Elle and her husband planning to expand them, and their company wracked in over $ 200 000 in less than a year. Elle said:

"We both really focus on what we're putting in our bodies. We wanted to create a product that everyone could enjoy and has an incredible ingredient profile while also tasting very good. We want people to be healthy."

Elle put on her entrepreneurial hat again when she launched an activewear line, Level Active, and has over 110 000 followers on Instagram at the time of writing.

Meyers Leonard and His Wife's Relationship History

Elle and her husband met in February 2011 when Meyer's served as her brother's host during his recruiting visit to the University of Illinois. However, Elle and Meyers did not begin dating for a while following their introduction.

Meyers was a broke college student and knew he and Elle were a "match made in heaven" when she insisted they could skip dinner and shoot hoops instead. As a result, they spent their first date playing basketball for two hours and talking for three.

"We've always bonded over going to the court, hanging out, and talking," Elle said. Meyers proposed in the summer of 2014; by 2015, they were Mr .and Mrs. Leonard.

However, the life of an athlete is not without its challenges. Elle revealed the first time Meyers told her he was entering the NBA draft, she cried. And in 2019, when he was traded and they had to leave Portland, Elle wrote:

"When I first learned of the trade, my body lost feeling. I was trying to understand what it meant. What did I need to do? Who should I call? How was Meyers feeling? Or did he even know? My brain and body were numb."

However, the couple persevered, and in 2020, they proved they were closer after spending time with each other 24/7 during the COVID-19 lockdown. Elle said, "I really like having him around."

However, they spent a few months apart when NBA stars, including LeBron James, Steph Curry, Jayson Tatum, and Jaylen Brown, had to live in what was dubbed "the bubble" to complete their season.

Meyers Leonard Welcomed His First Child with His Wife

In November 2021, Meyers announced that he and Elle were expecting their first child. "Baby Hammer coming summer of 2022! Elle and I are incredibly blessed and excited! God is good," he wrote.

A few months before her due date, Elle took to Twitter to show how tall their baby would be in a short clip and shared that the shortest person in their family came in at 5'10. On June 9, 2022, Meyers and Elle announced the birth of their son, Liam Walter Leonard.
