Police officials received a 911 call to Jansen's residence at about 5:30 p.m., and they revealed there was nothing suspicious about his death. Jansen was discovered unresponsive at his apartment by his friends.

The said companions felt obligated to go and check on him at his place after a no-show at a business meeting. Upon arrival, they found him sitting upright in a chair, and one of them dialed 911 and tried to resuscitate him.

Jansen's father, Skip Panettiere, shared that he spoke to him the day before his untimely passing, and he seemed fine. Meanwhile, his sister is shattered by the news of his death, said an insider who added that she adored her little brother:

"Hayden is absolutely heartbroken."

The source further disclosed that Jansen previously suffered from mental health issues and openly talked about it with his family, adding his love for art was a distraction.
