Eric Scott became famous for his role in the hit TV show "The Waltons." He spent ten years of his life portraying the TV family's fifth child, Ben Walton. Sadly, Eric's life didn't turn out the way he expected when he was earning a paycheck of $250,000.

Countless actors start out working on popular TV shows and go on to live comfortable lives filled with money and expensive houses. For Eric, fame was only a brief stint in an otherwise stressful life of looking for and failing to find work.

When "The Waltons" ended, Eric couldn't find any more acting jobs. As work and money dwindled, depression set in, which led Eric down a dark spiral. His marriage to Karey Louis ended, and he spent a year lounging around his house, watching reruns of old shows and doing nothing productive with his time.

After depression set in and Eric realized he wasn't going to get an acting job soon, he took matters into his own hands. Instead of giving up, the actor looked for other, regular jobs. He swallowed his pride and became a courier for Chase Couriers. The actor confessed, "That was a tough one to swallow."

Fans went wild over the photo, claiming Ashely was a carbon copy of a young Eric.

Nonetheless, he did his job, and he did it well. After a while with the company, he started getting promoted, eventually becoming the vice president of marketing. He also met Theresa Fargo, and the two tied the knot, starting their own family. These days, the retired actor is enjoying being a regular worker bee, like the rest of us.

Although the 64-year-old marriage to Theresa also ended, Eric found happiness with his third wife, Cinthia Ullman Wolfman. The pair shared two kids, Emma and Jeremy Scott, while Eric also shares his eldest daughter, Ashley Scott, with his second wife.
