Despite having a successful career as a stuntman and actor, "Jackass" frontman, Johnny Knoxville is adamant that his son, Rocko Akira Clapp, should not follow him into the entertainment industry.

Rocko is the second child of Knoxville and his first with Naomi Nelson. He also has a younger sibling, a daughter called Arlo, who was born about two years. His older sister is Melanie, from his father's previous marriage.

Unfortunately for Rocko and his relatives, the parents separated in 2021 and divorced the following year. Their marriage of 12 years seemed well and strong just a month before the fateful moment.

Rocko Akira Clapp Is Johnny Knoxville’s First Son

In August 2009, Knoxville announced that the couple was expecting, and he was very excited about the prospect. The actor and Nelson welcomed their first child together, a son named Rocko Akira Clapp, on Sunday, December 20, weighing in at 8 lbs and 20 inches long. He was born in Los Angeles.

The couple tied the knot almost a year after their son's birth. Despite Knoxville being famous, very little information about his dating with Nelson is public knowledge, and their wedding was also kept under wraps. The stuntman had asked Rocko's mother to marry him using a 2.50-carat Edwardian engagement ring.

Knoxville rose to prominence after starring in "Jackass" for three seasons, from 2000 to 2001. After that performance, he began to get roles in more significant production films. In 2002, he appeared alongside Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones in "Men in Black II" and followed that with "Walking Tall" starring Dwayne Johnson.

Rocko's mother is also into filmmaking and adept at making documentaries. Over the years, she has worked on several productions, such as "Carnivale" and "Fifth Star." However, Nelson stays out of the spotlight despite her career and high-profile relationship.

Rocko Akira Clapp Is Very Alike His Grandfather

Knoxville described his father as a trouble-causer and saw himself and Rocko also having that gene. However, he noted that it is something that he would like his son to avoid and even told his son that he would not go into the family business.

Although Rocko is the first child between Nelson and Knoxville, he is not Knoxville's first child and is not the last. The actor's oldest is Madison, born more than 13 years earlier. She is reportedly in good books with her stepmother and step-siblings.

Rocko's younger sibling is Arlo, born about two years after him. Despite their parents' status as celebrities, very little is publicly known about the two siblings.

Rocko Akira Clapp’s Parents Divorced after 12 Years

After 12 years of marriage, Knoxville and Nelson decided to call it quits. It was Knoxville who filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences. Coincidentally, his first marriage had also lasted a similar length; hence, the lighting had struck twice for the actor.

Oddly, the actor was known to gush about his wife and had even posted a sweet message dedicated to his wife a month before their reported date of separation in September 2021. At the end of August, he posted on Instagram, describing Nelson as "the sunshine on my face and everything good."

In his divorce application in 2022, Knoxville requested joint legal and physical custody of their children. It is unclear which other terms were included in the divorce proceedings and how they were handled.

That same year Knoxville confirmed that he was already in a new relationship and freely shared pictures of his new partner on Instagram. He even referred to her as his love, and the couple seemed to enjoy each other's company.
